The UK is not as bad as Venezuela

We would pay a fortune for it,and guess who will pay for it.
We would.
But who pays now for the horrendously expensive corruption and incompetence that all our services and industries are riddled with?

Many of our successful nationally owned services were sold off during the 80's for patheticly low valuations. Back then we called it selling off the family silver. Nobody can say that all nationalised services were either costly or incompetent. That folks like Mr Corbyn would wish to buy back most of them would be expensive, well yes, but selling many of them off was a disaster.

Many people living around me now once rented council houses all around South East London. A Right-Wing government sold those houses to the tenants at fantastically low values, probably believing that once home-owners those same folks would become right-wingers, and after about three years those owners could sell them for huge values and move to places like this, so enriched that they bought homes outright, expensive motors and had expensive holidays.

Now we haven't got enough council-owned homes. Let's not blame one party for all, eh? I wouldn't mind seeing Mr Corbyn redirecting money back into housing for homeless etc etc.

Yeah, we need to pay...... for the mistakes we allowed to happen

The deterrent is useless, if some idiot wanted to push the big read button they are crazy and a deterrent means squat to them

Yes, our submarine is a total waste of 'masses of money' and so are our new carriers. b We seem to be determined to play at being a world power. We aren't, and can't afford the play acting.

We need the money for other things.

Am I imagining things or are some people being somewhat supportive of Venezuela and the debacle of the Chavez and Maduro dictatorships? How terribly entertaining.

I'm in total agree about selling of council houses and the family silver, some councils are buying them back and paying at least twice as much.

I do think its a bad idea to buy them back though,I don't trust corbyn or labour.

It goes like this, comrade Corbyn the leader of the opposition is a fan of the Venezuela model and of course Marxism and we're not talking about Groucho.

Non nuclear countries do better, it doesn't cost as much and other countries don't pick on them.

Funny how you whine about the over inflated 350 million as week (18.2 bn a year). Which will prevent something like ww2 ever happening again in europe. And you love spending 45 bn a year to "defensively" bomb syria, thus adding to the refugee crisis you whine about

That reminds me of here in Canada, the federal branch of the New Democratic Party (socialist) scrubbed their website a few years back, removing all instances of the word socialism, due to the perceived negative connotations of anything to do with Socialism. Things that make you go, "M'kay!" So, as long as you don't call it that, it's not. Presto.
