The Walking Dead

Disappointed that "Brian" hasn't really changed, and not surprised.

I think it was portraying power as a drug, and that he was finding recovery/redemption from it, but got swept back up in it. It was just showing that there is a human beneath the monster, although the monster ultimately wins out.

I think that makes sense.

I was beginning to like him when his "father figure" started to come back up. I thought that they could have given his character a final break by having him and that other lady be together and move on.

But, the power trip ruined it for me. Especially when I realized that his desire to get revenge [on Rick and them] got the better hold of him, planning a reconquista.

It's movie/TV law that once a character has their hand stained with innocent blood, even if was an accident or they show remorse and attempt to atone, they're already doomed to be killed off. If the character was ultimately good or became good, then they are typically "redeemed" with a heroic, sacrificial death scene. However, The Governor will die a baddie's death, despite his humanity briefly shining through.

Meh. The Last of Us far surpasses it as far as zombie stories go. Thats just me, though.
And the show is good fun.

I dont like zombies but I have watched it on Netflix and I think it is okay.

Michonne seems awesome.

My bf thinks it is weird that I can eat pasta while watching this show.

Woo hoo! Finally!
Michonne made a Governor into a shish kebab!
Go, Dale The Tank Killer, go!

She just stabbed him. It was actually that other woman (I forget her name since I haven't been paying much attention the last couple of episodes) who shot him.
The Gov was dying though.
The other gal just came to her senses about him, & finished him off.
I'd prefer that the biters ate him as he died in agony.

That's true. I actually wanted him to be eaten, too. I was so sick of his character. I'm glad he's gone. I'm sad about Hershel, though. :(

It was also great that the children took up pistols to save Tyreese (who was great in The Wire).
Death to the invaders!

Just in case I was too subtle, I really enjoyed this episode.
Now I can't get my zombie fix until February!
