Quran (Surah Al-Baqara, Verses 102-103)

Shayatheen means whats astray. Whats gone out of the normal path. Not always devil. Because the translators only know of the Devil they put it in there. But replace it with rebellious ones who went astray you will see them in a new light.

It is due to wrong understanding of Quran, much propagated by the opposing websites.
If one studies Quran oneself:
  • intently
  • unbiased
  • with an open mind
  • and with correct approach
One won't find any mistakes in Quran.
Thread open for discussion to everybody.
Regards

What is the correct approach and how do you know that it is indeed the correct way?

Too bad nobody of merit supports your claim

Different nouns agains

Too bad no one of merit supports this view.

Rejection of Sunnah again

You made a complaint based on the two words then contradicted yourself later.

Which no expert supports.

You contradicted yourself that is the gem

See above and previous posts.

You quoted Sajoo mate. He is not a resident scholar, he is a visiting scholar at SFU. I am Christian. I dont give a rats arse about this. But you dont know what you speak about. You want scholars to support FD? Contact Ghani. Thats SFU, your old school as you claim.

Contact these people mate. Ask them about this Quranic verse that you guys are talking about. 4:34. This is such a wide subject, but you are such an absurd claim maker. Why would you care about mainstream? Why would you tell FD that he was okay with Laraba but was touchy with Daraba? You did that in the same post because you didn't know what the hell he was talking about all this time. Not a clue. Do you even know the Arabic word? Cmon mate, don't be a hypocrite. I wish I can quote names but I have been told not to since you went and complained to Firedragon.

Contact any of them. I dont care. If you like Ill send you my name which you can quote. Even to Dr. Sajoo. Any time, Any day mate.

Ghani - Phd. Visiting scholar at SFU
Laleh Bakhtiar - Phd and Koran translator
Edip Yuksel - Arabic Scholar & Koran translator
Nada Ibrahim - Griffith

You just said that you cannot tell me what the correct way was.

Taylor. I am sorry but I cant really remember saying something like that. Errm, I dont think it was me.

Nevertheless, there is a science of understanding the Quran. It is not the way done by most who cherry pick verses based on existing hadith. The correct way is to understand the personality of the Quran, find the language used at that time, research how the Quran uses certain phrases all throughout and completely make it based on the scrutiny of the Quran.

Hope you understand.

@Taylor Seraphim Stop making false claims. He never said that he cannot tell you what the correct way of reading the Quran is and never intended it as well. It is you, the humans in general who make the misconceptions and errors about the Quran. When firedragon said the Quranic way, it implied the understanding of the Quran. If you read it without making misconceptions about it then you will find it without error and divine. It is the human beings that make an error(s), not Quran.

Do you need faith to understand the Quran?

Because I have read it and studied it multiple times.

@Taylor Seraphim The correct approach is basically what firedragon stated. It is the correct approach because if you take it then it will show that there is no error. You just judge the book by a verse which was misconcepted on by yourself. The way we know it is indeed the correct approach is the fact that all the muslims that have read the Quran and have studied it with no misconceptions converted muslims leading to Islam being the fastest growing religion soon to outstrip christianity. Not only that but the proof that it is a divine book shows that there is only one correct approach due to the fact that a divine scripture means from God and God is omniscient. So, he knows all about everything including what you are skeptical about.
