The passages in the Bible mean end of an Era, or end of times. Not the end of the world. Many things tell us those times have changed as promised.
The greatest proof is that Isreal has seen the return of the Jews.
The way we interpret scripture (i.e. the Bible) is that "Jews" as a fleshly nation were rejected by God because of their repeated failure to keep their covenants with God. Their final act of defiance was in orchestrating the murder of Jesus Christ who had already proclaimed that their house would be "abandoned". Failing to heed God's prophets and silencing them was an entrenched attitude with them, but it was about to come to an end. (Matthew 23:37-39)
In order to keep his part of the covenant made with that unfaithful nation, God kept them in existence until he had fulfilled his promise to produce the Messiah through their fleshly lineage. Once Christ had fulfilled his role, God gave those Jews, who identified Jesus as the promised one, first option to benefit from the "new covenant" that had been promised through Jeremiah. (Jeremiah 31:31-32) The old covenant with Israel was abolished when Christ died.
The apostle Paul identified both Jewish and Gentile members of the Christian congregation as "the Israel of God" (Galatians 6:16)
This is spiritual Israel, not the fleshly nation. (Romans 2:28-29)
The "land" occupied by literal Israel today is not so special now because Christianity is global and Christians are told to be no part of this world and its political conflicts. Who can deny that the so called "holy land" is nothing but a hotbed of violence and bloodshed. This, we believe is part of God's abandonment of the fleshly nation to become like the rest of the nations; it demonstrates that they do not have God's blessing or protection.
We do not believe that the "Israel of God" are those who rejected Christ.
