There is more then enough evidence to prove God exists.

At least Dawkins is not dumb enough to say straight out "there's no god", like some atheists say..:)

I'm slightly baffled by this, because it is the position most atheists take! It is logically possible for there to be a God, 10,000 gods, or for the moon to be made of green cheese. But I cannot disprove any of things and therefore "God exists" is on a par with "There is no God", for neither proposition is demonstrable. So of course we can't be sure, that is to say be certain, that God doesn't exist.

I am sorry, but I do not accept your extrapolation

the·ism (thzm)
n.
Belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in a personal God as creator and ruler of the world.

Paganism

Disparaging and Offensive. pertaining to the worship or worshipers of any religion that is neither Christian, Jewish, nor Muslim.

of, pertaining to, or characteristic of pagans.

Theism is the belief in God. The belief in anything other than God is not theism.

The column that contains those "Who believe in God" is for Christians, Moslems, Jews and Buddhists. The second column contains those "Who don't believe in God, but do Believe in a universal spirit or higher power" which is for beliefs like Paganism. They are not theists. If they were meant to be together than they would have been put together. One section believes in God, the other section does not. You cannot add them together just to make your point right. It does not work like that, and I am sure you know that. But let me just remind you of what you said.

Even if you add both figures together it is still not a "High" percentage.

The minute one says they believe in a "universal spirit" or/and a "higher power", they are into "theism". What else could this "universal spirit" or/and this "higher power' be if it's not a deity of some type?

the G_d of Man exists only in in the mind of Man.

Man/ego loves a good (fictional) story.

we all come from the One Source, what that is is beyond our mortal comprehension.
so we make up fictional Gods.

I'm more sure than Dawkins..:)

Shuttlecraft, what you are doing is telling a Beatles fan that John Lennon held his guitar too high. A Beatles fan can see no wrong in John Lennon as a Dawkins fan will defend Dawkins whether he is right or wrong, as they are doing right here. Nothing you say will show Dawkins as the Dork that he really is.

That is so true, and the mind of mankind is his spirit.

Man/ego loves a good (fictional) story.

Or the real truth of our existence.

we all come from the One Source, what that is is beyond our mortal comprehension.

Again, very true, but because of the Word of God we have a pretty good clue.

so we make up fictional Gods.

No, we seek after the truth and some of us find it.

Then why didn't they combine the lists and call them theists. You are grasping at straws.

What else could this "universal spirit" or/and this "higher power' be if it's not a deity of some type?

Some people believe that everything has a spirit that all combine into the spirit of mother earth - Paganism. If we take what you say as true a second list is not required as all beliefs would be theism. It is not, so we have two lists.

Right, Dawks (and Sagan, Hawking etc) are like "gods" to the atheist movement because they're all they've got..:)

Ohhhhh, do you guys mean like how you still defend and worship a God who condones rape and slavery?

Pot, kettle.
