Oh oh oh, me me me, I know this one...Why on earth do you think first John is a gospel? Do you know nothing of your own beliefs?
You forgot to answer my question before asking your own.Do you believe that scripture communicates the Gospel or not?
Um. Okay. You, Sheldon. In the back.Oh oh oh, me me me, I know this one...
You know they were cobbled together with subjective bias over three centuries after the alleged events right, and the names assigned were fictional, and the earliest texts were in a foreign language, the very earliest of which was decades after the alleged events?Do you believe that scripture communicates the Gospel or not?
I knew about the Clergy Project but not about the Council. Many theists are trapped by their beliefs as well, since religions don't exactly make it easy for adherents to change their minds, but there are still courageous people who do.
The clergy project...

Thank ye kindly sir.....like many theists he is parroting dogma, and has not submitted the claims to even a cursory examination, let alone an objective critical scrutiny.Um. Okay. You, Sheldon. In the back.
Whether this was by natural process or magic, it is still life from non-life.
Yes. He is talking out of his butt. An A for you.Thank ye kindly sir.....like many theists he is parroting dogma, and has not submitted the claims to even a cursory examination, let alone an objective critical scrutiny.
In answering my question you will get your answer. Your comment didn’t make sense. Do you know what the Gospel is? Is it just Matthew, Mark, Luke and John? You forgot to answer my question before asking your own.

Glad you can see that as a possibility although it certainly makes me wonder how ANYONE would know what the first element in the universe was.
Except God and Jesus, of course. And maybe anyone else they desire to tell.
By your standards of evidence, how do you know god and Jesus exist at all?
Okay word games. You should have made your meaning clear. In answering my question you will get your answer. Your comment didn’t make sense. Do you know what the Gospel is? Is it just Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?
My answer was clear, Disciple John wrote John, 1John, 2John and 3John. He was an eyewitness. One of manyOkay word games. You should have made your meaning clear.
So you have a hypothesis ( this is by faith).
Then you look at what was already created by God as He said in Genesis,
So God is into variety and you call it natural selection.
Not following your logic.
Those are fictional names, you know that by now right? In answering my question you will get your answer. Your comment didn’t make sense. Do you know what the Gospel is? Is it just Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?
God is Eternal, this life came from Him.
Nope, neither the text of the gospel nor that of the letters bears John’s name, or any name. Second and Third John are from the pen of “the elder,” who is not identified. The letters and gospel are anonymous....My answer was clear, Disciple John wrote John, 1John, 2John and 3John. He was an eyewitness. One of many
So of course do you think that life always existed? And non-life always existed? Come on, let us know what you think. subjective or otherwise. If only we had some objective evidence for one, and none for the other, we might be inclined to withhold belief in the latter type, until such objective evidence could be demonstrated...
Or use blind faith of course, that seems to be how many people roll....
Well, "Sheldon" says so, right?Nope, neither the text of the gospel nor that of the letters bears John’s name, or any name. Second and Third John are from the pen of “the elder,” who is not identified. The letters and gospel are anonymous....
