There is no evidence for God, so why do you believe?

Those beliefs are no more than ideas or opinions. It is not the same as having faith in God.
Well, I can understand how that can be somewhat confusing to others, since so many people claim to have faith in God, yet they have so many different beliefs about God, and some even fight and kill each other.
So, I wouldn't say it is quite as straightforward as that,
I do agree that ideas and opinions are the foundation of many beliefs, but that also includes having "faith in God", in most cases.
The foundation of faith, however, is not ideas, or opinions. So, maybe that's what you are referring to?

I am a strong general philosophical skeptic. In short, I only have faith/beliefs and they work for me. I accept you do it different and I accept that you don't accept that it works for me as different, but I do it anyway.
Isn't belief without evidence, merely belief? Some people refer to that as (blind) faith. For example, skeptics, but isn't that different to Christian faith... such as mentioned at Hebrews 11?

I disagree. Faith in any God is just like any other belief that is no more than opinion or ideas.

Including this: that there is an objective reality shared by all rational observers.

Now, I do hold that opinion, idea, belief and I act with faith in it, but I have never been able to justify with reason, logic, truth, proof or evidence. But you already know that. :):)

You have blind faith in the end Hebrews 11 as I understand it. I am just honest and say that we both have different blind faiths.
I would never judge as for you worth as a human while claiming God. That I leave to God. I can only tell you and act on my my faith. But I don't know that my faith is the correct way to God. That is why it is faith.

Different blind faiths... That took me by surprise. :)
So, would you say beliefs of scientists is another blind faith?

People see faith differently.
Religious people often think of faith as confidence based on a perceived degree of warrant while others who are more skeptical of religion tend to think of faith as simply belief without evidence.

If one believes something is true, based on evidence - very strong evidence, is this blind faith, in your view?
