For all of you, what is the best way to forgive our enemies? I know that Jesus told us to forgive our enemies but how can we forgive them in spite of the fact that they hurted us in many ways? Please give a practical advice. If possible, please give your own experience(s).Thanks!:)

By promising them the same fate worse than that which befell Sodom and Gomorrah?

BTW: why would a topic such as his be directed to "fellas?"

I asked the best way to Forgive Enemies and not to destroy them nor to make the situation worse.

FYI:
"Fellas" is a slang term for fellows. I created it as a title to subject all the people on this site and ask their opinion on this topic.

Look for yourself in them, and they in you. We have all fallen short and hurt other people, and we will likely do so again, even if by accident. We all need forgiveness. This is what Jesus meant when he said "With the forgiveness you forgive others, so shall you in turn be forgiven." The same forgiveness forgives both us and them.

The easiest way for me to forgive others is to remember that I make mistakes, too and I always feel better when I am forgiven. Three words: The Golden Rule.:)

Depends Upon My Mood..
I agree..I need much forgiveness myself...Every single day...

Do you want to be condemned?..Neither do I....So dont condemn others...

Now having said that??..I dont know your "situation"..But forgiving doesnt mean "trusting"..If this person is "untrusworthy"..I dont believe you are "required" to remain vulnerable to them..

We must use our common sense and wisdom...

Have peace in your own mind, then you're better able to share it with others and bring about the same in them :D

Try to see the good in them. Be patient, be mindful and you'll manage it. And of course... frubals make people happy! So here's a few for your troubles! :D

I'm pretty sure "fellas" is a slang term for men, as opposed to something like "lasses" or "gals" for women, but whatever it's unimportant.

I would think it better not to make any enemies in the first place. The easiest way to forgive an enemy if you do have one is to, well, forgive them. You don't even have to tell them you've forgiven them, you just let go of the grudge you are holding.

I don't think forgiveness should be given unless the guilty party displays genuine regret and remorse. Depends on the intention and severity of the offense, really.

Greetings Lawrence. May I offer that from my perspective the best way to 'forgive' 'enemies' is not to judge them in the first place; not to have the internal 'grudge' requiring forgiveness to cleanse. One way to do this is to develop Agape love and oneness for all; it is possible. This could lead, also, to seeing yourself in others as suggested by PureX whose wisdom I do admire. If remorse is felt or expressed by the other person, then an indication that they are already forgiven might be desirable for their sake.

Of course, these are my opinions from my perspective and since each person's perspective and situation is different, each must decide what is possible for themselves.

Regards,

Depends on what they did. If it was really bad, then I would bear a grudge. If it was minor then point out the mistake, make it clear it will not happen again then forget and forgive.

forgiveness is rested and decided within the soul of ones own self there is no "best" way to forgive anyone because everyones own "best" can be any next ones "worst" the only way is to meditate within ones self and understand what the spirits that you meditate to councel you on and decide from there-in

The perfect example would be the Amish school children who where lined up, shot and killed.

Several days later, they prayed for the killers forgiveness.

I assent with this. If somebody killed my wife or child, I doubt I could ever forgive them.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
Time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
Time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
Time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
Time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
Time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
Time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
