Like what?

If everyone who was traumatised as a child by someone of the same sex or opposite sex did something? had some specific quality? were in some sort of situation?, then there would be a lot more non heterosexuals than there are.

{re the headmaster) What the hell. Thats not a sexuality thing...thats a pedo thing.

But the point is it never traumatised us in the slightest because we never regarded it as serious.
For example one teacher used to call his favourite pupils out to sit on his lap during lessons, then squirm and writhe around; they thought it was fun like riding a mechanical bull..:)

Much like religious institutions, British schools of yesterday (I'm assuming they're somewhat different now?) attracted a lot of perverts and weirdos who preyed on kids.

The claim is that people who are gay have been traumatised by a parent or close relative of either sex and that is why they are gay. I was simply responding in kind.

Traumatised in this sense usually means sexual or physical abuse.

Not clear on the significance of the word in red though.

When stories like this come out it is an excuse for the extremists to put us in the same group as pedos.

Well, it could have been really bad for others that were molested at an earlier age compared to what you described. And it could be very real and personal for some here. You just don't know that right now and you shouldn't. But there is a casualness of the internet that makes it hard to see how hurt or emotional others are in their responses.

I'm just hoping to be able to continue constructive dialog from both sides.

I've seen others stop responding, I don't know why but I just think for this to benefit everyone, we have to try to keep it continuous and constructive. Well, that's my opinion.

Thanks. The "then" is there just to emphasize the logica connection.

I wish you realized that such a thing was wrong, and should not be accepted by anyone. It is very bad and unfair for the LGBT movement and its supporters when this is seen as representative.

I was thinking along this line but actually not with physical abuse. I've never heard this suggestion before but I will follow up on it.

Yes, the chaplain at my school used to stride around in a long black cassock glaring at us boys with a face as sour as sh**, he must have put hundreds of kids off Jesus over the years because he was a lousy advert for Christianity.
A standing joke among us was that he had a tiny first-year boy hidden in a special harness under his cassock, permanently attached to him like a limpet..:)

I completely agree that one requires self sacrifice when one has kids. However, the only thing I won't sacrifice is my happiness. If I find myself getting depressed then my kids will have to wait on me to work on that. This usually is not a long wait. Kids need mentally healthy parents. Actually having kids had been so natural to where I am now that it improves my happiness.

But enough of me. You've made some assertions of homosexuals that I personally don't agree with. I'm just curious as to your experience with them to be able to draw such conclusions?

Sorry about taking so long to answer.
You're right. You can't be miserable and raise kids, but sometimes it's not all hunky dory and you gotta deal with it. Kids first , you second....no exception. Well maybe if they kill and eat another person, but that's pretty rare.
My experience with homosexuals? I was going to into detail but decided this should do.....
Best friend middle school to high school, came out sophmore year.
Best friend after high school, came out a few years ago but i always knew. Hes gone full on old gueen, we don't talk anymore.
At this point i should say im 50 so you can get a time line.

Wifes college buddy, got on well with him and his partners, and he's had a few.

Wifes other cousin. I love him and his partner, they've been together forever. I love drinking too much with him at parties. I asked him about the gay marrige thing. He told me gay men have never been that worried about it. Lesbians are the ones really pushing it.
My daughters boyfriends mom and her partner.
Many others ive known in my life through work, partying and friends. Too many to list.

Good enough for you. Probably not.

Which is why you, as a 50 year old man, spend your time trolling the Internet? Uh huh. (Rhetorical question, by the way.)

Troll, flame war. You'll use bs to try to shame others out of their opinions. I joined this site in 2004. One of the mods accidentally erased my account a few years ago. I witnessed your type here long ago.
Kisses sweetie! :flirt:

I think you're just a tad bit paranoid.

I was a little tipsy the other night. I think i kept it pretty coherent for my blood alcohol level.
Im not a homophobe (stupid word anyway). I just draw on my experiences and consider (doesn't mean I have to agree) others opinions to decide how i look at things. Everybody does it, though I've seen many who can ignore reality.
Iike you. I don't think you're a dick or anything.

That's cool. At least you admit when you're drunk posting on here, unlike some people. Lol.
