Why??
No where in the Bible does it state that it was Satan. It is merely assumed by many to be Satan.

The serpent was indeed the adversary, bent on the failure of Man to learn the difference between good and evil.

The thing is, only someone delusional would take anything written any part of Revelation seriously and literally, because it was written by someone who is clearly insane.
