Transgenderism

Apostle John

“Go ahead, look up Revelation 6”
You could mind your own business and leave explanations for experts in science.
Yes, sure, homosexuality has nothing to do with me thanks to God. So the explanation from the experts, is there a cure in the pipeline?

No, many doctors don't require a letter from a mental health professional or any contact with a therapist for hormones if they use an informed consent model. They'll just have you sign a basic checklist of effects to expect and give you the prescription. Yes, it can be way too easy. I've known multiple people who were on hormones and even had surgery who had no business having access to it. Nowadays the doctors who actually hold to the older established standards are seen as "outdated" or even "transphobic" by the younger crowd and the activists.
That’s a true pity, especially if it turns out that transitioning is not the answer.

My best friend growing up transitioned to female. In her case it seemed the right decision. As male, he was conflicted, confused, unhappy in every way. For years before she began transitioning, she had to see therapist after therapist, doctor after doctor of all kinds of specialties. She even went to John’s Hopkins in Baltimore for consultations. Finally she was determined to be eligible to transition. This all took place in the late 1970s.

However, it was in slow small steps … affecting female appearance, i.e. her clothing, hairstyles, etc. Then came the hormone treatments. I don’t know if she ever had surgery because we lost touch. I did I come to find out that was living fully as a woman, and was now finally happy. I found out not too long ago, through Facebook of all places, that she passed away. I saw a response to condolence messages to her family from a sister who said (paraphrasing) she lived her life her way, was happy and made other people happy.

But it should come as no surprise that everything is instant this, instant that today. And what if transitioning is not the answer? Maybe hormonal changes can be reversed, but once the surgery is done …

I take it then the experts are still none the wiser. The level of it wrecks their evolution theory, they’ll be getting worried soon.
To claim that it wrecks evolution implies that you've thoroughly studied and understand it, which we both know isn't true.

If you want to live a life of self deceit while wallowing in superstition, that's your prerogative, but don't try to impose it upon others.

No wait, to make it fit like they always do, the theory of evolution must have an in built design where life and reproduction following humans self destructs after so many billions of years. Eureka, that must be it.

You don’t know whether feelings are reliable until you live in someone’s head.. You think that transgenders don’t go through extensive psychological testing and therapies. You think they just get a prescription for hormone treatments, lop off body parts or make others with Silly Putty? You think that’s on a whim? You know nothing. So I invite you to stop making all these asinine and inane assumptions and judgments.
I’ve read numerous accounts by those who have transitioned, then detransitioned. In every case the person said they struggled with other issues, such as; anxieties, autism, ADHD, OCD, depression, self-cutting, eating disorders, and others which were not addressed by counselors or medical personnel during their transition process. Instead, they were sped through to hormone treatment and then surgeries.

That doesn’t address the successes, now does it? And there’s that black and white thinking again.

Next!

It may not address the successes, depending on how long term those successes turn out to be. The point is that individuals need to have their underlying issues properly addressed, rather than being rushed into transition treatments. But as I’ve said elsewhere there are big profits to be made getting people onto pharmaceuticals and surgeries which will require lifetime medical dependence … and expanding the market.

All you need is love.
What cures religious people not minding their own business? What cures religious people failing at empathy and tolerance?

A cure implies a malady.

A cure for bigotry and willful ignorance would be nice, however.

If Christians focused more on the plank in their own eye, they would have less time to fixate on the speck of dust in the eyes of others.
