You didn't answer my question. You simply tried to deflect and shift blame. Based on your response, I can only conclude that you are unconcerned about how your bigoted views have seriously damaged your Christian witness. Perhaps you should concentrate more on the plank in your eye and stop casting stones at others. The Bible says, "By their fruit you will recognize them," and you are most definitely recognized by yours, and that is not a compliment.

You talk about "identity" as if it's some sacred thing that must be protected and preserved, but the truth is that we change our identities as often as we change our socks (or at least as often as we should change our socks).

On these boards, my identity is TLK Valentine.
When I step into the classroom, my identity is "Professor _________."
At a family gathering, my identity is "son," "brother," "cousin," "uncle,"depending on who I'm talking to.
And of course, with my girlfriend, I'm "the sexiest man alive" (or at least that's what she tells me ;) )

All of those are "identities," which prompt me to behave a certain way -- partially dependent on social context, and partially dependent on personal choice.

Which differs from the present scenario...how, exactly?

If I lived in Texas, I'd be under constant surveillance -- my neighbors and acquaintances continually checking to see if I'm aiding or abetting someone having an abortion -- the state government has promised them a $10,000 reward, and who's going to pass up that kind of money?

Other states are following suit, but thankfully I don't live in any of them. But who knows? Perhaps that will change long before I get my phone implanted.

“Lahl echoed that sentiment, stating her conviction — and perhaps summing up the battle itself — that transgenderism isn’t simply a political or cultural attack but one that is satanic in its origins.

“I don't believe in transgenderism,” she said. “I think that’s a lie from the devil.””
