Trump Administration and the Press

Did you type this with a straight face? I heard him tell us lie after lie during the campaign and read them through his Twitter feed as well. Here are just ten from his Tweets as well as public statements:

  1. "The media ... sort of made it sound like I had a feud with the intelligence community."
  2. "Americans don't "care at all" about Donald Trump's tax returns."
  3. "Activities by foreign governments had "absolutely no effect on the outcome of this election."
  4. ]"If Russia, or some other entity, was hacking, why did the White House wait so long to act? Why did they only complain after Hillary lost?"
  5. "We had a massive landslide victory, as you know, in the Electoral College."
  6. Said there was "serious voter fraud" in Virginia, California and New Hampshire.
  7. "there are probably 2 million, it could be even 3 million criminal immigrants in the country illegally."
  8. ]"The @nytimes sent a letter to their subscribers apologizing for their BAD coverage of me."
  9. ]"Twitter, Google and Facebook are burying the FBI criminal investigation of Clinton. Very dishonest media!"
  10. ]"Wikileaks also shows how John Podesta rigged the polls by oversampling Democrats, a voter suppression technique."

This is less than 1% of the lies this man has told us just to get elected. Now he's lying and spinning through his Press Secretary. The man hates facts because they disagree with him consistently. He's a fraud. A huckster. A con artist. Anyone relying on him for the truth should have to wear "G" for gullible on their shirt.
Ah, but you a fighting a lost cause. Trump correctly said that he could shoot someone right in the face and his supporters would still follow him, and let me add that they'd probably blame the man's face for getting in the way of a "2nd-Amendment bullet".

You post facts, but his supporters don't want facts-- they want "alternative facts".

If the last several days has pointed anything out, one is that Trump has some very serious mental issues. I have a son who suffers from bipolar disorder and a granddaughter who suffers from mood disorder, and yet their issues seem far less severe than his, and I'm not saying this to be mean. If anyone here knows anyone personally who may suffer from a form of mental illness like these, they pretty much should see something in Trump that's very scary for this country in terms of what could happen.

Armchair diagnoses are always dangerous, but when I heard two psychologists state that they believe that Trump may suffer from narcissistic-personality disorder, I looked it up and have to agree that this is a possibility: Narcissistic personality disorder - Wikipedia

My concern above is especially pronounced now that he has the chance to use nukes, and on at least four different occasions that I'm aware of has asked that if we have them, why aren't we using them? If this doesn't scare anyone, then probably nothing will.

Am I??? One battle does not dictate the outcome of the war, no matter how devastating. Komrade Trumpsky is his own worst enemy. He's STILL holding to the lie that there was massive voter fraud. The Republicans are begging him to shut up. I bet he abdicates, er resigns in the first two years.

“The timing of this was very peculiar because I think it was basically a day or two after Mr. Trump claimed that CNN was fake news,” longtime Valparaiso YMCA member Greg Quartucci told a local CBS affiliate. “I think they switched to the Cooking Channel.”

“CNN has been on a TV at the Y for those 15 years, and I am disappointed that the Y removed CNN because of complaints,” Mr. Quartucci told the Chicago Tribune.

Debra Koeppen, the YMCA’s chief development officer, admitted the facility stopped airing CNN on its televisions after complaints made following a Jan. 11 press conference where Mr. Trump characterized the station as “fake news,” but said the TVs were changed back after the decision was brought to the attention of leadership, the Tribune reported.

The squabble has since caused the Y to adopt a new television policy, however, which prohibits the facility from showing CNN, Fox News and all other national news channels.

“In order to eliminate perceived political bias associated with national news outlets, the Valparaiso Family YMCA will only be showing local news channels in the future,” Robert Wanek, CEO of the Valpo Y, said in a statement this week. Those whom I was referring to are Trump's base supporters. With the others, I'm fully agreeing with you, and we are already seeing some significant dissension within his own party.

BTW, isn't it "funny" that all those Republicans that decried Obama's executive orders are now silent about the recent profusion of Trump's executive orders. Why does the word "hypocrisy" come to mind? Hmmmmmmmmm?

Indeed. It's partisan politics at it's worst. However, this will make it easy for the next president to undo Komrade Trumpsky's orders.

Which Executive orders are you referring to that would normally require Congressional approval?
Not doubting either of your agendas, just asking a question.

I didn't say that any of them did. Why mischaracterize what I said yet once more? However, whatever is done via executive fiat, can be undone the very same way. Only 3 years, 11 months, 25 days, 6 hours, 35 minutes and 10 seconds left till we are rid of Comrade Trumpsky.

So I ask you one more time( I will modify the question). What Executive Orders has he signed or indicated that he will sign that you disagree with.
Are you so shallow that it matters not the subject of the Executive Order is only that it was put forward by President Trump.

I disagreed with the Obama on many of his Executive Orders but at least I indicated which ones I did not approve of vice just a blanket disapproval as you are doing.

He has some huge conflicts of interest going on with the oil pipeline. HYUGE!!! He was a part owner. His biggest backer is a part owner. His energy secretary used to sit on their board. What do you see right with all of that?

BTW, has anyone else gotten the feeling that when he displays these executive orders he's like a kindergartner looking for praise? Nothing but an attention whore groveling for approval.

So he shoots from the hip when he's speaking, He's not launching the space shuttle and he's not on trial. I don't see the problem unless you can show a clip where Trump is being boastful and arrogant about it.
You don't think that Trump is arrogant? What about his constant claims of being "the best" and "nobody knowing more than him" regarding subjects like "Isis" before he has even gotten a security briefing (pretty sure that had to be false) and such?

No, but I thought Obama was arrogant. Trump is more a showman, which is a perk compared to the usual stuffed shirt Washington beauracrats.

Aye, Obama had a more politic & conventional arrogance.
And since his fans thought he had The Truth, it escaped their notice.
Hillary employed the same style, but her inner Nixon shined thru.

So, the examples I referred to, you just ignore them? Or do you have an explanation as to why you don't consider them arrogant. They pretty much meet the definition of arrogant.

And, when did Obama ever say anything arrogant?
