I don't think that's what he meant. I believe he accused the media of remaining silent while certain people harmed the United States but speak up to prevent deals which are good for the United States. Unless how you can explain how nuclear material reaching Iran is good for America?

I found this while investigating today’s Wikileaks revelations that the Obama Administration was using the CIA to interfere in the 2012 elections in France using illegal intelligence gathering, phone surveillance of current President Francois Hollande, then President Nicolas Sarkozy, current round one presidential front runner Marine Le Pen, and former presidential candidates Martine Aubry and Dominique Strauss-Khan, the National Front, the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) and the French Socialist Party (PS) – all revealed in pages of classified documents obtained by Wikileaks and released earlier today. Of course the MSM currently isn’t reporting any of this, but very soon it will be everywhere even if they do not report any of it that proves CIA moles for Obama were interfering directly in the elections of other countries – in this case France –and trying to setup blackmail intelligence. But then in the midst of all these revelations, I find this video – can you believe this woman is that stupid- which is now being aired in Russia, a copy of it now put on Youtube today, watch before it is taken down, I recognized the voice instantly without question I know that voice and it is Maxine the fool herself:

I know you probably don't understand this, but when one is untruthful to ones superior one has committed an unforgivable act and thus can not be trusted. As a General Officer Flynn would not accept this behavior from a subordinate therefore he knows he screwed-the-pooch and had to go, and either the President fired him, suggested in resign, or General Flynn resigned. In any of these, case closed. Now let's find out who is undermining this administration by committing illegal acts and throw the book at one or more.
What is Hillarious about the recorded phone conversation with that fool Democrat Maxine Waters, besides Limpopo being a province of South Africa, is the Russians don't even need to "tap" the phones of these Democrats like Obama was "tapping" the phones of French politicians and political party HQ's, all the Russians need to do is call the Democrat directly up on the phone and get all the juice they need! Don't the CIA (and all other intelligence agencies worldwide) routinely monitor embassy communications for countries deemed threats? Foreign spies are routinely assigned to embassy roles so embassy activities are closely monitored.
Put it this way, do you think that the CIA shouldn't be monitoring the Russian embassy and that such behaviour is against the law?
Flynn's communications were intercepted and deemed a potential national security threat so were passed on to the FBI for further investigation.

The US right used to pride themselves on their solid values and patriotism, it is hilarious to see them trying to rationalise events in a way to ease their cognitive dissonance.

I can not find anything that says that the recording of Flynn's conversation did or did not need a warrant. I do know that the intercept was considered classified information and by releasing it to the media a illegal act was done. Now you and other may think that the releasing of classified information is not a issue if it is considered "the public needs to know".; however I and others do not agree and the law does not agree. If we are a nation of laws and we only enforce the ones we "like" then we are not a nation of laws.
