I don't think the money is necessarily wasted.
An efficient investigation is good.
A witch hunt is bad.
But the investigators are already in government employ, so there's no increase in cost.
Is whatever task they're pulled from useful?
That would tell us if there's any new waste.
The more important questions.....
Is it worthwhile to investigate Pelosi's & Sessions's falsehoods regarding having met Russians?
Same for Obama's complicity in illegal wiretapping.
"An efficient investigation is good.
A witch hunt is bad."
Efficiency and witch hunt. . . .
Right because investigating someone without any reason to do so, is very efficient and is not at all a witch hunt.
"But the investigators are already in government employ, so there's no increase in cost.

Oh I am sure Trump rather have them looking into Obama, than investigating him. Which is what this is really about.
And don't tell me about the cost unless you can quote actual numbers from a reliable source. The amount of money wasted on that email investigation was stupid, "Hey wait the investigation didn't give the results we wanted, we better investigate the investigation."
You have no clue how much it would cost, and if started you have no clue where it would end.
