Trump is losing the debate acting like a raving lunatic

It Aint Necessarily So

I do prefer the REPUBLICAN PLATFORM over the DEMOCRAT PLATFORM. I actually dislike Trump so much that though I am voting, I will not be voting for Trump, and I do not want him to be the next President. I prefer the REPUBLICAN PLATFORM over the DEMOCRAT PLATFORM. I will say it again, I prefer the REPUBLICAN PLATFORM over the DEMOCRAT PLATFORM.
I prefer the REPUBLICAN PARTY to win over the DEMOCRAT PARTY. And since I don't live in a swing state like Pennsylvania, it probably doesn't matter much anyway.
I don't care for the Democrat Party platform!
Are you familiar with the word shibboleth? It's "a custom, principle, or belief distinguishing a particular class or group of people" When you use the phrase "Democrat party," it identifies you as a consumer of conservative indoctrination media.

"Democrat Party is an epithet and pejorative for the Democratic Party of the United States"

Democrat is a noun, as is republic. Democratic and Republican are adjectives.

Incidentally, if you're not a Trump apologist, then you don't meet my definition of MAGA. My general impression has been that you come to his defense, probably because of comments like this one:

"I think it's interesting too, that no law enforcement died that day, and of the few that died later, one had a stroke and 3 committed suicide, or maybe 1 had a stroke and 4 committed suicide, not sure which, and several were many months later. One person did die that day, a Trump supporter who was shot by law enforcement. Oh, and several other Trump supporters died that day of unrelated causes."
We are a republic, not a democracy.
Those are two nouns. The comment might be incorrect, but it is factually incorrect, not grammatically.
And that's your personal opinion about yourself.
That was your response to, "I specifically contradicted that claim" after you wrote, "It seems anymore that most every republican is being referred to as a MAGA"

What I wrote is a fact. If it weren't, you could refute the claim. If it weren't, I wouldn't be able to refute you now like this. I specifically excluded several Republicans from being MAGA. Did you not see the comment about the Cheneys and The Lincoln Project? There are many more than that. Karl Rove has joined their ranks. Here are many more: List of Republicans who oppose the Donald Trump 2024 presidential campaign - Wikipedia

So, no, my words are more than a personal opinion about myself. They are a fact. Here they are again: "I specifically contradicted that claim." Most Republicans are MAGA, but not "most every."
Some will vote for 'their party' regardless of who is on the ticket.
Yes, I know. Did you think I didn't - that I needed to be told that?

Some of that type of voter are Trump apologists, and some are mindless voters with no real understanding of who Trump is or what they're voting for.

The former are MAGA. The latter are morally and/or intellectually derelict in my opinion. If you vote, you have a duty to be an informed citizen. If you don't know who or what Trump is and vote for him anyway, then you are intellectually derelict. If you know who he is and vote for hm anyway, then you are morally derelict.

The first group can't be called MAGA, but I group the latter in with explicit Trump apologists, since they tacitly endorse him with their votes knowing who and what he is.

Is this a problem for Trump supporters? Do they not like to be called MAGA? If so, I don't know why. Do Taylor Swift fans dislike being called Swifties? I'll bet not. How is this different? Swifties gave themselves that name as did MAGA. Many wore hats with the acronym spelled out.

Why are so many clueless about this? Biden kept tariffs for certain products being made in the USA and it helps even the cost to cheaper imports.

If the USA made tools and electronics loke China does then Trumps tariffs would make sense.

That’s the idea. But the USA doesn’t make many of the products that will cost more.

The. USA. Neither makes a vast majority off the products, and no longer has either the skilled manpower, nor factories and tooling to do so.
Tariffs add to the purchase price for everyone.
Eventually some other country who do not have tariffs on their goods will step in. And undercut any new American suppliers. So the cycle will repeat.

Unfortunately China produces better products at any price point, or specification.
China has among the most advanced manufacturing processes and skilled workforce in the World.
America would be starting from nothing in most industries. They do not even have the available skill level of the 60's.

I can't really help what Snopes reports. Did 5 People Die During Jan. 6 Capitol Riot?

However, I will say this - I have made no bones about being a Republican and preferring the Republican platform over the Democrat platform. And without getting into all my reasons, which are valid to me, I will simply say that I hope the Republican Party wins rather than the Democrats.

Claim: Five people died during the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot.

Rating: True

Yes. Read more of that article. Four were Trump supporters and a fifth died the next day but a medical exam said that he died of strokes. Of the four who died, one was shot and the other three died of causes not related to the insurrection.

You could almost argue that the one that was shot was also a victim of suicide. She was part of an armed mob that was out of control. She herself may not have been armed, but the police have to treat such a mob as if they are all armed. The rioters or insurgents were trying to break into an area where the police had to draw the line. The first one through was shot. The others quickly learned from this and realized that this was not a game and that many more of them would die if they kept up with their illegal activities.

Confronting armed police with deadly force when you are not willing to use it is quite often called "suicide by cop".

I have no use for rapists.

I also question convictions were there was no witnesses, no physical or scientific evidence used.

You accept his guilt through bias and dislike.

If you were convicted for something based on he said she said, wouldn't you like me to question it, or blindly believe it because I didnt like you?
Nah, it was a slam-dunk case, plus he has a long history of sexual misconduct and even admitted to assaulting women: Donald Trump sexual misconduct allegations - Wikipedia
..and who knows what Trump and his bestie Epstein did together.

But it would, if you lived in Pennsylvania or if Ohio suddenly became a swing state. You really can't run away from what your party loyalty commits you to. Even Dick Cheney can do that.
But I don't live in Pennsylvania, so I consider it a moot point. And neither Cheney is a role model for me.

This isn't about where you live or who you actually end up voting for. It is about who you want to win the election, and you have never denied that you want Trump to win. The difference between you and Cheney is that he is a Republican loyalist who acknowledges that his party has been co-opted and taken over by Donald Trump, so he is voting to stop him from winning the election. He is not voting against his party, but against the individual who has corrupted it and now poses an existential threat to our democratic republic.

I want the Republican Party to win the election. Where does Cheney live and vote, by the way? It makes a difference.

You chimed in and gave your personal opinion to my post.

The corruption of a corrupt system isn't a viable idea in any kind of argument. Cheney's democracy is essentially two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

You beleive everything Trump says even though there is no evidence to back him up.
