You should since your attack was based upon a false understanding. And your later post indicates that you did look it up since you changed your argument a bit.
But I did promise a quote and a source as part of the explanation of how you got it wrong:
"This fallacy occurs when, instead of addressing someone's argument or position, you irrelevantly attack the person or some aspect of the person who is making the argument. "
I would say that all of his "attacks" were relevant to the matter at hand. He was explaining why no rational person takes MAGA people seriously and all of his observations were relevant to that. You are trying to continue to change the topic, which in its own way is a bit of a strawman fallacy that you are using. The topic was not whether they were right or wrong, it was whether any rational person would give them any credence.
