One thing that you should remember is if you are trying to convince a conservative it is best to find a more conservative site. If you want to convince someone that is more liberal find a liberal site. But far more important than their bias is their accuracy rating. Sites that only say "left" and "right" are all but worthless. You will notice that when it comes to bias both left and right is that the more extreme that they are the less reliable that they are. If you chose any source from the top box outlined by dashed green lines of this illustration you should be okay:
