You cannot force people to care about other people. People either have compassion or they don't. People either care more about others than themselves or not... Sadly, in this country there are far too many people that are selfish, caring only about enjoying themselves at their social gatherings and not caring about endangering other people, such as at Thanksgiving... They have been told not to have a large gathering and yet they brag about doing it anyway, I just saw that on the news. Sadly, in a "free country" there is nothing that can be done about selfish people.

Then by stark contrast we have the unselfish health care workers who put their lives on the line....

Something is wrong in this country, why can't people see it?

People just expect that after this is all over life will all go back to "the way it was" so they can go back to their regular activities and have fun, as if life is all about having fun... I see this as a spiritual problem and having a religion has not helped these people, so why even pretend to be religious? Why pretend to be Christians when they cannot even follow the teachings of Jesus and deny themselves of anything they want? Or didn't they read those verses? Sorry, I have never been one to mince words.
