Trump Wants Convicted Felon As Ambassador To France

I think there might be some protections in place and rules preventing civil servants from being dismissed willy-nilly like that, but Trump may try to have those rules changed.
With even assassinations possibly being
viewed as "official acts" by SCOTUS, &
with impeachment & conviction being
impossible, there are many possibilities.

Interesting word salad there.

And thus you're here in this thread to
dismiss the problem of a vile convicted
felon being ambassador to France.
What are you going to do about it?
How are you going to change it?
What's your plan?

Trump is going to pick who he wants. There is nothing I nor you can do about it.
No amount of whining or *****ing will change anything so I choose not to whine, ***** or stress over it. But you do you.

Post.
Of course!
How are you going to change it?
I won't.
What's your plan?
Lunch.

Typical of the Maga....
Personally attack the critic rather than the criticism itself.
BTW, you forgot to wield the term, "lawfare".

Even some Republicans appear ready to
resist the worst of Trump's excesses.
Though not likely enough of them yet.

One wonders how far into this administration we'll get before more Republicans realize that Trump really could harm the party for years into the future? I mean, I've already heard some buyers' remorse, and that can be a powerful thing, when you thought you were buying some sort of salvation, only to discover things can get worse.

Trump seems to almost be a "John Galt" kind of character.
But does he strive to destroy the country or his party?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I tend to think that as many of these incompetents actually take office and start doing stuff, the actual professionals and other qualified people in their respective agencies will start to bristle at having to take orders from someone who clearly doesn't know what they're doing. You could put the head of the Flat Earth Society in charge of NASA, and see what happens. (If nothing else, it would make for some funny news stories.)
Well obviously it's something beyond our control, so if it's going to happen that way I'm right on board that if it's nothing else, it will definitely make some funny news stories but maybe in a sad way too.

With people like us with no power or influence, it just will have to be a wait and see situation.

Yeah, I suppose. I don't really worry so much for myself, but the potential wreckage to the country (and possibly the world) could be pretty bad.

These nominees still need to be confirmed by the Senate, and that is where the real battle will take place. Senate opposition among Republicans has already torpedoed the wacky Gaetz nomination, and several others are in trouble. What Trump wants to do is an end run around the confirmation process by having the Senate go into recess so that he can appoint his Mad Tea Party cabinet without confirmation. Incoming Senate Majority Leader, John Thune, has already said that the path to confirmation for Trump's picks will be difficult for Republicans. What isn't clear is whether he will go along with Trump's desire for recess appointments. If not, then a number of his more controversial choices will likely fail. Not all Republican senators are interested in helping Trump to carry out his retribution fantasies.

Typical of the left falsely accusing a personal attack when there isn't one there.
You know that I loathe both the left and the right.
You're different.
Your posts defend Trump at every opportunity.
You posted....

...and claim this isn't a personal attack.

I wonder wonder about the extent to which Magas
are dishonest vs actually believe what they post.
Tis a puzzlement.

Criticizing Trump really inflames the Maga.
So they lash out. They can't help themselves.
So frustrated about defending the indefensible.

I get it. Your little lefty feeling are hurt so you lash out. Anyone who doesn't share your view you call a MAGA.
It will be fine. Your party lost this run but they may win the next one and turn your frown upside down. We survived one Trump run and we will survive another.
