Trump

While that is a video that is criticising Trump and quite negative, if it's true it's actually demonstrating Trump is no bumbling fool but a very intelligent man who knows how to play a person's subconscious and make people like him. (If the video is accurate in its analysis, that is)

I don't believe that. I think what he is doing is the same thing salesmen do the world over. As someone who spent many years in sales, I used similar methodologies in my presentations to potential customers. We were taught to.

For example, the video talks about his penchant for bringing the listener into the conversation under the assumption that they agree with him. We used to do the same thing when selling insurance with simple lines like, "you and I both know.." or "we all understand that..." and people almost automatically start nodding along.

I suspect the guy has taken some sales lessons and probably from some very good teachers. This does make me wonder if his success will lead to more people taking this approach in politics. I hope not.

Churchill was bad?
Churchill was the best choice for Britain in the 1940s, no question there. However, just because he has many great achievements(one of them being going it alone against the greatest monster to ever live), does not mean he was without great faults. The only reason there was relatively little brutal repression in British colonies during his era as PM is because he was busy using the armed forces to stop the Austrian Corporal. I do not wish to think of what would've happened in the Raj if he did not need the army to defend the Kingdom proper. Would it compare to ANYTHING Hitler was doing? No, ****ing hell no, anyone who claims that is frankly a moron.

But it is equally moronic to think it would've been pleasant.

Well at least your opinion is balanced and acknowledges the good he did during WWII. I am familiar with how badly the British treated folks in India and that is a shame. I'm not familiar with Churchills opinions on the matter though. I am assuming by your response that you know a bit more about it than me.

His opinion wasn't precisely "radical" for the time, though one could certainly say he was hard-line on the issue of Indian autonomy & independence.

I honestly don't think Trump is likely to get the Republican nomination because over half say they would not vote for him in the primaries. However, even if he did get the nomination, I think that he would have a difficult time getting elected as I personally know some steadfast Republicans that have said they would not vote for him.
Look who's wrong now.

I really hope that the Trump administration will put an end to political correctness and stop the wimpification of the youth in the US. What ever happened to "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? Eight years of lack of understanding of the real world and thinking in a denying alternate reality has been long enough. Obama, Clinton, and Kerry are the Neville Chamberlains of the modern era -- no more!

So, we should expect and hope that Trump teaches bullying techniques to "unwimpify" this and the next generations of kids? Yep, just pushing bullying more will, I'm sure, solve a lot of problems.

I'd hope that he'd do this too, but still address the issues with tolerance & common sense.
SJWs, loopy though they be, still have merit in many of their concerns.

For the past eight years America's economy has been booming, lowest unemployment ever. Only the blind cannot see the truth because they cover their eyes with one hand while groping for toilet paper with the other. The truth will set you free. Just wash your hands and you will be clean again

Are you talking About Americastan?
Growth is slow to nil.
It's still a disaster for my investments.
Let's not be fooled into thinking high stock prices signal recovery.
They're high primarily because of low interest rates, which lower the expected rate of return, thereby increasing prices.

On an obscure thread, I posted a theme song I wrote for Trump.
It's based upon the old TV Show, "Mister Ed".

Before you see my tune, you must learn the tune

The candidate Trump's a chump...a chump.
And no one can vote for a chump...a chump.
That is of course, unless the chump is the famous Donald Trump!

Go right to his stump, and ask the chump.
He'll give you the pander that you'll fist pump.
He's always glib, no Forest Gump.
Talk to Mister Trump!

The Hildabeast will read a script, in pantsuits dull & gray.
But Mister Trump will kick some rump, when he'll jump into the fray.

The candidate Trump's a chump...a chump.
But this one's unlike all the rest in the clump.
You'd rather have a stomach pump?

Well listen to this.

Donald Trump might win.

What planet are you living on? Unemployment is higher than its been in the last 30 years over 10% given the real numbers, and 2% growth is not booming, its called slugging along, and is the slowest recovery ever in America. We can do a whole hell of a lot better, and hopefully we will under President Donald Trump. :smileycat:
