When I point out that troubled (but not failed) loans were denied a chance to
survive by the fed, this increased the failure rate. This is what Obama did.
Let's say you've fallen behind in some payments, but you continue making them.
But government tells your bank, RBS, to get rid of trouble loans like yours.
RBS bank forecloses upon you.
You lose your home, but not the debt & interest due.
(It's reduced somewhat by proceeds from their fire sale.)
What could've been a good loan was made a bad one by the bank.
And after foreclosure, the bank (per IRS regs) declares the lost principal
& any interest as income to you, & reports this to the IRS (from 1099).
You must pay income tax on the reported amount.
You're homeless, your credit is shot, & you have a tax bill you cannot pay.

Billy boy clintion, was brought up on 2 charges, one for perjury and the other one obstruction of justice. Thereby lieing that he had any doing with sexual misconduct in the White House oval office.

work with....not too bright. I was fortunate that they eventually sold my loans
at a steep discount to another company (Americastanian). The latter was a
joy to work with, & I successfully refinanced the loans with a big discount on
principal. It's great to borrow from people who treat one as a valued customer.
I'd never knowingly borrow from a government owned/run lender again...especially
a British one. Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac are also bad, but I've never borrowed
from them.
