- If I bought in, its value would plummet.

I think that if you didn't get in when the getting was good, you are out of luck. I do know someone who has grown their retirement more than 2000%, but he got in right when they came out. When I first heard about IT intangible coins being sold and bought for tens of dollars (at that time) it just seemed absurd to me. But then, I could not see that the value of a company share is an intangible as well. Or an ancient antique vehicle. These things are worth what people want to pay for them.
