Two police ambushed; some protesters yell "we hope they die"

Of course you can't rule it out. But common sense tells me they wouldn't even protest a hospital and/or arrival period. I've so far seen reports of 1 man being arrested at the hospital, with a female reporter intervening in the arrest.
I can understand news being there quick, not the general public. Nor would BLM/Antifa rush out to block an emergency room. The possibilities of that narrative are outweighed by common sense.
I suspect that you are using the term "common sense" in a manner different than my understanding of the term.

Truth be told, it would not surprise me one bit that BLM/Antifa attempted to block the police officers from getting to the ER.

But the claim is that they did.
Said claim is what needs to be supported.
It matters not one bit if I believe it possible or not possible.
I just happen to believe it is possible.
Probable even.
But that does not mean it happened.
Thus I wait for the claim to be supported.

But my common sense does not "rule out" anything.
It is saying to wait for confirmation of the claim.

Would you agree that regardless of whether or not blocking the way to the hospital happened (which I also share doubts) chanting 'hope you die' 'you're next etc which can be clearly heard in the videos of the protest is deplorable as per the op?

After reviewing what I can find on the topic, I have to ask where the claim that the protest was blocking the officers from getting to the ER came from?
I mean, I have not found the claim that the victims were blocked from the ER any where outside this thread.

Only that the protest THIS MORNING was blocking the ER and that two were arrested, one being a journalist looking for her fifteen minutes of fame.

The irony of being asked if I like criminals by someone supposedly charged to love everyone, including their enemies.

But no, I just acknowledge we happen to live in an era where police brutality against innocent people is at an incredible high and cruelty is justified by fake charges or just the assumption of guilt. I understand that a not inconsiderable number of people called criminals in fact are not, but are people the system has failed.

So no, I am certainly not for waiving rights of people accused to be criminals.
Who’s talking about “people accused”? I’m referring to real criminals.

Thanks for saying ‘the system fails’. At times. That was my point.

Why do you classify my view as representing all JW’s? Fascinating.

And yes, I love all people. Which requires some hard choices every once in a while.

We can’t be “enablers.” That’s not loving.

"Real" criminals according to whom? You? The police who are arresting or shooting innocent people? The people who have been convicted of a crime but later exonerated of the same crime due to aforementioned flaws in the system?

How about we don't enable cruelty in our justice system by making some people subhuman in the eyes of the law? Because that is definitely not loving. And it's only a hard choice because, I suspect, we subconsciously acknowledge its cruelty.

I heard the claim on a supposed TV news station. Isn't their responsibility to find the truth and report it? And not rush to report false narratives?

Can you share a link?
Or name the media outlet?

I have not found the claim myself out side this thread.

Forensics. The facts uncovered during investigation.
Again, people have been arrested and convicted on false charges even after forensics investigations.
More importantly, retributive justice is inferior in every way to rehabilitative justice. But that's a discussion for another thread.

You?
Why are you so combative?
It is not combative to say that ultimately it's you, in this discussion, deciding that people being accused (yes, accused) of being criminals deserve less than human rights.

I did not say accused! In fact, I excused such a notion. Build strawmen elsewhere.

Your combative nature remains. Only you can rehabilitate it.

Good day.

There's a lot of people I hope die so I can't judge them for it.
As do I, but in a more abstract way.
Standing outside a hospital and chanting I hope they die is vicious and cruel. It's those scary "normal" people partying outside the prison as Ted Bundy was executed. Were supposed to call people like him monsters, but these normal people out walking free, who lack the mental disturbances amd history of suffering severe abuse, they too thirst for the blood of humans. They celebrate thier bloodlust when someone's is spilled.

To be honest, I would've celebrated the death of Bundy, too. He was a monster who deserved to die as he had no remorse and would've happily continued to do it (hell, he had already broken out of jail to brutalize and murder more young women).
