Unbridled Capitalism is self-destructive

Five yrs in NYC, I thought I'd never thaw out.
Well, here in Michigan we're quite a bit colder than NYC, let me tell ya. In my case, I can take the cold much easier than the heat with humidity. OTOH, dry heat I don't have a problem with. I assume that Shanghai is both hot & humid, right?

Hot and humid. Lots of rain / thunderstorms.

Look at world weather radar, it's always
rain / storms through here.

I was in Fairbanks Alaska in December
one year. Dark and cold!!! It was like I'm
on the wrong planet!

I almost took a job teaching in Fairbanks, but my Sicilian wife wasn't crazy about doing this, so I turned it down.

Unregulated (or even poorly regulated) Capitalism is clearly a form of "civilized" slavery disguised as something else.

While I think I understand what you are trying to say, I think tossing the word "slavery" around when referring to an economic system is insulting to the memories of actual slaves. Though in certain cases the term "civilized" slavery might be more appropriate to differentiate it from the more horrific and inhumane institution involving the complete deprivation of liberty and human rights that was something like antebellum slavery.

Respectfully,

EG

Okay, how about this:
Unregulated (or even poorly regulated) Capitalism is a form of legalized exploitation, disguised as something else.

Not defending or supporting communism or socialism, but it's your position that socialism is to blame for famine in the USSR?

Respectfully,

Old Soviet joke....
What are the 4 problems of Soviet agriculture?
- Spring
- Summer
- Fall
- Winter
In USSR, famine has been a choice, eg, the Holodomor.

Too bad that most of the populace
can't be Castro's grandson.
The disgraces of a country are due to the fact that certain Capitalists are as childish as kindergartners.
They love to play games.
They consider the resources of a country like the board game Monopoly. And they want it all.
So they play with real money, destroying real lives. ;)
They should heal from their condition.
