Jesus gave his church authority to bind and loose. It's in the bible. Making a claim about a particular interpretation isn't standing in judgment of people. Claiming that one isn't who one claims to be be is standing in judgment of people.

We do like what he teaches of obedience. And, we claim that obedience includes giving humanity the benefit of the doubt, which is a position of grace.

It is putting up for a fight to say that. I'm not convinced anyone but 'Jesus' can "speak the truth". I try but I am sure I fail many times. I think I can honestly say I am for the truth. For Jesus? I hope so.
