So, then it has caused you to stop looking? What is gained by that? What is lost? What is the harm in keeping an open mind. I believe in God. My relationship with God helps me. But I am still open to any possibilities. Do you think that's wrong?
see Genesis....look into the void mentioned there.

There is not a qualified person on this planet to answer a question like this. That is my entire point. It is foolish for anyone to assume they know the answer. My answer is simply "I don't know".

You will be assimilated; it is His Will.
Isn't this what pretty much all non-fiction authors tend to do? Why single out Dawkins for such an overwhelmingly common practice? Seems unfair.
I know of him and it fits the subject. Give me some others and I will single them out as well if it makes you happy. I don't see the problem. You are defending an atheist that does much damage and makes millions out of it.

BTW, what is an agnostic Christian? It is below your name.

Exactly. This unwillingness to admit the possibility of being wrong, stating belief as fact, is dangerous unless it can be backed up with verifiable evidence. But even then, it's not a good idea.
the unwillingness to make a choice is shallow

What damage does Dawkins do? Can you point to any specifically?

And, by "Agnostic Christian" I mean that I believe in God and Jesus Christ as our savior, but I also don't think that knowledge of God or certainty in belief is either possible or desired. While I have my beliefs, I recognize I could be wrong, and I continue my search for the truth. But, the important part is that I don't feel that knowledge of God is possible. It must be based on faith.

Why on earth would the unwillingness to make a decision or choice in this matter be "shallow". That is an absurd stance. It is nothing but prudent to withold settling on an answer until sufficient evidence/information is attained. In actuality, it is extremely foolish to settle on an answer based on faith when the truth might be attainable in time.

What kind of damage is he doing?
