Was Muhammad a good man?

Mohammed was hands down a terrible person.

Now way was he a prophet or even a good leader. He ruled by terror with an iron fist, killing all those who disagreed with him.

Good leaders do not need to do that.

So was Genghis Khan and Mitt Romney along with numerous Christian leaders such as the vast majority of the Popes. But I never complain about them

Muhammad was nowhere as violent as these men. Genghis Khan had a personal fascination with decapitating his opponents and innocents and hurling their heads over into the walls of kingdoms for fun. Sounds like a great guy honestly

I think what we need here is for a few knowledgeable members with access to valid links to get together and present an historically accurate picture of Mohammed and his career and start a thread about it in the reference forum.

That way, when we get a lot of people in here regurgitating what they've read on hate sites or overheard at the bar we could just link them to that thread.

I'm guessing there's already all the materiel we'd need to do that in this thread (sandwiched in between all the nonsense), but this thread is 113 pages long now and going through it would take more time than I have to spare.

Obamanation? And you say he was better? Romney fell back on the same principles as Obama but the issue is that you prefer your own religion to be authoritative although Romney was a Mormon :yes:

I also did not place Romney in the same league as Khan although he does promote genocide for the poor while Muhammad did not. There are many ayah on how to care for the poor. Islam can be quite Communistic in some regards on its fairness to others but also very horrid in it's treatment towards others

Alexander conquered Macedonia along with the outskirts of Asia to the Hindu territories. He reestablished law, government and mechanical engineering as well.

To thus very day his accomplishments have only led to good and nobody has killed in his name or at least not in mass.

I am not askign for specifics just general concepts.

Many say Muhammad was a peace maker for example. After reading Sahih Bukhari I could say Hammurabi and Musashi were better peace makers. Many claims for Muhammad are subjective or bias due to religious reasons.

What we got today from Alexander,do we have his teaching of morality and how many is following him nowadays.

What we get from Alexander today is basically social concepts and knowledge including engineering and modern society and it's values as his accomplishments fortified what would become the pinnacle of greatness for the Hellenic age which spawned modern Europe and including the knowledge obtain during the Khalifa which included all of your great theologians.

I am not into sports and I have no idea how people judge football teams. I know nothing about this.

Greatness is measured accorded to one;s achievements in a particular field. It can be measured by impact, uniqueness or quantity.
