God views them as an enemy, but he still loves them and desires for them to come to their senses.
Nice save! We know God loves them. But Jesus told us,
Luke 6:27-28 (ESVST) 27 " But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
Luk 6:32-34 (ESVST) 32 " If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount.
Wait a minute! Is this one of those teachings that Jesus only meant for His early followers? You see, I get confused with the difference. When He told His apostles to preach the kingdom to the whole earth, that was for everyone too, even though He was talking to just them. But when He was talking to just them about the New Covenant, He was just talking to them and not everybody. It's hard to keep track of when He means everyone and when He means only the apostles.
