What about the unvaccinated?

What do you think of some privileges not being extended
because someone is unvaccinated (& without immunity)?
Should they be able to mingle anywhere without restriction,
eg, airliners, buses, restaurants. On that last one, NYC
requires proof of vaccination in restaurants, but doesn't
require it in general of all.

I think we have some companies, gyms, pools etc here that want to vax all who enter, but I haven't heard of restaurants.

I'm a supporter of vaxxing but I wouldn't go in a bloody restaurant that wanted proof of vaxxing, but that's just me.

"unvaccinated (& without immunity)?"
Where is your evidence the vaccinated have immunity?
The above was sent to another.
Over here lots of vaxxed folks have 'got' covid, some badly, but on average vaxxed folks can fight covid better....
We are vaxxing 12-16 yr olds as from next month, I have read. But nobody has to be vaxxed.

There is no certain immunity....sadly.

Yes they don't get it as severely. But they are not immune to it.

NYC is the only place I've experienced it.

I like the idea that all were vaxed.
It posed less risk to my family.
But I'd never go to a restaurant that would allow the likes of you.

But when you feel you've had enough time out, please provide something that has evidence that the vaccinated have immunity...
Or maybe quit targeting the unvaccinated by saying "unvaccinated (& without immunity)?" Because in reality no one has immunity including the vaccinated.
But I'm just.going by the science,, maybe you know something I don't.

I’m a diagnosed schizophrenic. As a result, I am 100% paranoid of all governments and CANNOT trust them in the slightest. The government is pressuring me to get vaccinated. Due to my paranoia, that is something I can never do (as someone who is being treated efficiently for my condition).
So what about me? I’ll never have a vaccination card. Do people want me to be segregated from society? With all these talks of vaccine passports and mandates, I feel like my time in participating in society is completely over. I feel absolutely discriminated against. I will never get the vaccine. I CANT get the vaccine, as my paranoid views of the government won’t change. They’re the illuminati who drink baby blood and want to sterilize all of us, yo. I don’t see that belief of mine being able to change, and that is a symptom of what I have.
So what about me? I’ll never get the jab, so is society going to completely shun me now? What about the people who cannot get the vaccine. Like legitimately they cannot, it’s not just an opinion of theirs. What about us? It feels like society is abandoning us. I am not alone in this predicament.
These are the exemptions in the UK:

Covid-19 vaccine exemption list UK?
There are some circumstances where people cannot demonstrate their Covid-19 status by having the vaccination or a test. This could include:

  • people with learning disabilities, who are autistic or have a combination of impairments that result in the same distress.
  • people who have or are under medical supervision for acute or evolving serious diseases
  • people receiving palliative care
  • people undergoing treatment with unpleasant side effects.
  • people who are immunocompromised (i.e. they have weakened immune systems).

I'm not familiar with UK policy...are these exceptions from
a general government requirement, or exceptions imposed
upon businesses who require vaccination?

"Employers still have a legal duty to manage risks to those affected by their business. The way to do this is to carry out a health and safety risk assessment, including the risk of COVID-19, and to take reasonable steps to mitigate the risks you identify. The working safely guidance sets out a range of mitigations employers should consider including:

  • cleaning surfaces that people touch regularly
  • identifying poorly ventilated areas in the venue and taking steps to improve air flow
  • ensuring that staff and customers who are unwell do not attend the workplace or venue
  • communicating to staff and customers the measures you have put in place
Businesses are also encouraged to continue displaying QR codes for customers wishing to check in using the NHS COVID-19 app, or to continue collecting customer contact details to support NHS Test and Trace, however this will no longer be a legal requirement.

NHS COVID Pass
The NHS COVID Pass allows people to check their COVID-19 status and demonstrate that they are at lower risk of transmitting to others through full vaccination, a recent negative test, or proof of natural immunity.

We encourage organisations in certain settings to use the NHS COVID Pass as a condition of entry to reduce the risk of COVID-19. This will especially be the case in large, crowded settings (such as nightclubs) where people are likely to be in close proximity to others outside their household.

To support organisations and individuals in these settings, the NHS COVID Pass will be made available through the NHS App, NHS.UK, or as a letter that can be requested by calling NHS 119. Visitors will also be able to show text or email confirmation of test results. Organisations should ensure they are in compliance with all legal obligations, including on equalities.

There are some settings where the NHS COVID Pass should not be used as a condition of entry to ensure access for all. This includes essential services and essential retailers which have been able to stay open throughout the pandemic."

Care home staff must be vaccinated; I presume health care workers must (but I don't know).

Care home staff must be vaccinated; I presume health care workers must (a no-brainer, apart from for some ex-nurses in Texas).

One useful way for stores to accommodate the unvaccinated
here is curbside service. Some stores here have even done
this for all customers, ie, vaccination status is made irrelevant.

Texas isn't the only state with anti-vax health care workers.
We have'm here in blue northern states too. Damn that
human nature...it's everywhere!
