I'm attempting to fix a ps3 that is a model chech-2001b that is stuck in a failed update loop. If I am able to fix it, I will be able to downgrade the OFW to 3.55 and install a CFW on it. Mostly, I'll probably be playing PSP games on it if I can make this happen.

Well, it turns out the Bluray ribbon wire had popped loose. I have the system attempting the update now, but a new problem that has arisen, and that is the disc I put into the drive is not ejecting. The gears and everything are making noise, but the disc I put in (just a blank CD-R) is not ejecting. It did go in though, so if the update is successful it appears I may be learning about the mechanics of a disc drive.

**** YEAH! GO ME!
Now if only I was even half as good with people as I am with stuff like this I'd be in a pretty good shape.

Well damn. It turns out I need a tool that cost about 70 bucks to downgrade the PS3 firmware down to 3.55. Oh well. At least this one isn't even half as load as the one I've been using.

I was going to try the PC port of FFIX, but the "boosters" are just silly, and having a border around the game-screen instead of having true-full screen is a deal breaker for me.

I've started Star Ocean Second Evolution. Not too bad so far, except I am very used to hearing Claude shout "burn" when he uses the phase gun, and the portrait of Rena makes her look 10 or 12.

That's Japanese art and culture for you... The idea of youth and cuteness is very ingrained. Also, it's a pretty good game, though perhaps due to nostalgia, my favourite is the third one, "Till the End of Time".

I've been trying to play Sims 2, but unfortunately the game keeps crashing for unknown reasons. I even tried re-installing the game... I'm very upset by that.

I am back to playing Dragon Age Inquisition. Have not finished the story yet lol.

All the side quests become so distracting at times. My method for progression is to do at least one of the main quests first, or part of for step-by-step quests do X, go to Y, etc. Whatever time I have left after can be used doing whatever you wish on the side; companion quests, Skyhold missions, map quests. I still have not finished the game. I also just bought some of the DLCs due to a sale. So now I'm tore between starting over or blitzing each to "catch up"

I get that, but Rena is 17. The age of the portrait doesn't match the age of the character.
When trying to decide to play 3 or 4 (and actually make it all the way through), I was shocked and disappointing to learn they lack the assortment of recruitable characters and having to chose between one or the other (or others). That's one of the main reasons I've played The Second Story as many times as I have, because there are so many different characters to choose from and so many different ways to set up your team (though my usual is Claude, Rena, Ashton, and Leon). Too bad though there isn't a way to get Leon by playing as Rena, because Dias is pretty crappy later in the game.
And how I wish they would have finished The Second Story anime instead of stopping at the end of the first disc.

I picked Dragon Age Origins back up. I didn't get very far into when I started it (not even invited to join the Gray Wardens yet), so there wasn't really anything to pick back up and relearn. But compared to the bit of Inquisition that I've played, along with other BioWare RPGs, though this is a pretty good game so far, I can't help but feel BioWare took a couple steps backwards. I also really wish there were more than six ability slots. But I have a really big puppy on my team!:D

Origins is definitely my favorite in the series. I've beaten it in almost every possible way. :D

I tried a Warlords of Draenor private server to do a better "side-by-side" comparison of the direction World of Warcraft has went, and though in a few aspects it improved, but overall the game has become an embarrassment of its former self, with no traces that it used to be huge in the nerd community and suitable for people who prefer RPGs. They've added so many bells and whistles, and so much hand-holding that I'd hardly even call it a game anymore.

I have a feeling I'm going to be replaying DA:O at least a few times. I'm specializing in Blood Magic this time, but the next time, if I don't play as a rogue, it will be to specialize in Shape shifting.
By far this is the best free game I've gotten to play with a PSPlus subscription.

Because DA:O is apparently a very glitchy and buggy game, I found out it is possible to both unlock blood magic and kill the demon. I found this out because at first I thought my controller broke because I could do nothing except move my character around, press select, and move the cursor around on the map. Nothing else was working. After using a second controller I realized it was the game, then googled some stuff to see what was going on. So I am a blood mage and Connor's soul is in no danger. But I don't care either way so long as I get to use walking bomb on something, enjoy the spray of blood and gore, and have my puppy lick me clean!:D
I don't think an RPG has satisfied my thirst for digital blood thus much since Vandal Hearts, which is about the only thing I remember about it (that, and some really cool spell animations).

I have done so many side quests and it has made me a bit overpowered :/ I end up not needing supply caches...maybe it is different if I play on something other than easy lol.

I am finishing my main character but I am going to start over with my second character once I am finished. I have a bad habit of creating new characters or restarting games before I ever finish the damn things.
