I went back and found my old Sega Genesis game console- Sword of Vermilion, Phantasy Star III, D&D The Warriors of the Sun, and Shining in the Darkness (I had a hard time with that last one).
Those are some great games, seems like you're in good company.
I still have my Sega Nomad (one of the best handheld games in my opinion) with a port for an extra conroller and a TV adapter. I was always thinking about ebaying it but I can't seem to want to let it go.

Finally caved in and purchased Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica (PS2) with the bonus music CD. Mrscardero and I visited six GameStop stores and not one had a copy of it used.

Speaking of Ar Tonelico, I'm going to import that game from the UK - about thirty-five dollars Australian (thirty US).

I can't even remember when I last spent thirty dollars on a video game. Probably when FFXII came out.

Do you want salt to rub in my wounds as well, or are you happy with your efforts already?

I looked at the box and it is rated "T" for Teen. The box describes that there is partial nudity. I wanted more than partial. :(

To paraphrase myself, do you want salt to rub in my wounds as well, or are you happy with your efforts already?

Now that I have a way to play my PSX games again I've been splitting my time between Final Fantasy 1, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Breath of Fire 3.

Wait a minute, aren't you receiving the same game as I am? The Teen rating is pretty mild for US standards, you're not going to tell me the UK version is edited for content are you?

I've decided to buy it, but it cost me forty dollars. It's been years since I paid over thirty dollars for a game.

Right now, the new Punch Out for Wii. I've been struggling somewhat, as I went in use to the dodge timing, and stradegies from the original Punch Out. Seems fun so far though.

I also was struggling with this decision (it's a PS2 game for christ's sake!!). If not for the unique pakaging and the bonus soundtrack CD and the oft chance to recover my money when I resell it, I would have let it go.

There is another (PS2) game that mrscardero and I have waited patiently to come down in price and that is Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance II. We have been to all the video game stores and we can't seem to touch the experience for less than $40.00 (used!!).

As many of you already know, mrscardero and I re-started Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles (GameCube) some time ago and we are still playing that. I have started DragonQuest IV (DS) because I needed something to play when I am portable or a passenger on long trips or waiting in long lines.

mrscardero bought a new PS2 with a packaged Lego Batman game and New Frontier DVD (liked the comic series somewhat, didn't care for the movie, not a big Darwyn Cooke fan to begin with).

RF member RalphC. came over and mrscardero was supposed to play Lego Batman with Ralph (with the exception of some sport games, RalphC. hates video games). I was tired of the Lego series after the Star Wars series but we thought we would appeal to Ralph’s fondness for Batman. mrscardero chickened out, claiming she had too much computer work to do on The Mod Squad comic (an excuse I invented) and watched Ralph and I play. To keep Ralph C. riveted and his enthusiasm high, I chose Robin and let RalphC. have the Batman character. We got stuck in a part at the beginning and I could see RalphC.’s interest flat-lining. mrscardero came out from behind “her desk” and carefully examined the situation and suggested some directions to get us moving forward.

RalphC. got a glider cape for Batman and thought that was pretty cool but it wasn’t until my Robin character got the helicopter and Batman was able to grapple onto the helicopter and fly around the city that he was finally won over. I have a feeling this will be a monthly event for me and RF member RalphC. If RalphC. is serious, this may be the first video game that he solves and may be the spark that sets off a life-long interest in the hobby. Who knows maybe if I convert him over to video games, sitting him down to watch full seasons of Family Guy could be just right around the corner. mrscardero and I also gave RalphC. the New Frontier DVD as a consolation gift (RalphC. is a tremendous Darwyn Cooke fan).

I am beginning to love it when people excise video game series from historical continuity.

:D Thing is, PSIII had little to nothing to do with the original games, and PSIV is the actual follow-up to PSII.

I consider PSIII to be a spin-off, like the Japanese-only PS Gaiden and PS Adventures.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue. Quite fun - you crawl dungeons in the guise of the first 387 pokemon, complete missions, and solve the hokey storyline.

Sure, rub my face in it! Did you get the soundtrack?

No soundtrack (which I should have gotten when I spent nearly forty bucks on the game).

My favourite thing is how Gust included so many innuendos in this game, which are all done without any character feeling even slightly sleazy.
