Update: I've finished the first four chapters of the Quran, but I'm finding it to be a slow read. I think this is in large part because it's a rather old translation.

So... I'm taking a break from the Quran and will be starting the Book of Mormon.

I suspect many here are avid book readers.

I am currently reading two, in tandem.

One, which is excellent, is Warlock by Wilber Smith. (Ancient Egyptian local)

The second, which is not quite so interesting is, The Sundered World by Frank Ryan.

How 'bout you folks?

Will to love
Harlan Coben -- Promise Me. I enjoy his books. Good who-dun-its with witty dialogue.

J.S. Spong -- Jesus for the Non-religious. Gotta finish before I return it to the library next week.

Somewhere Around Nothing
OK, so The Elegant Universe is awesome so far. If you haven't read it and have an interest in physics I highly suggest it.

I am currently reading:
فى النظام السياسى للدولة الإسلامية
"On The political System of The Islamic State"
By Mohammed Saleem Al-'Awwa

Until now it's very excellent. The most important thing in this book is that it addresses the circumstances and the needs of this age and the modern understanding of the "state".

One of his interesting opinions that I read is a non Muslim can be a president of the Islamic state.

Just finished American Gods. I liked the story, but in my opinion it could have been shorter and there were some predictable elements at the end.

I'll be starting up Les Miserables soon. Seeing as how it's one of the biggest books even contrived in human history, I'll need some time to soak my brain. :p

I'm reading The Passover Plot by Dr. Hugh J Schonfield.

It's pretty interesting; gives a detailed account of what was going on in 1st centruy Judea and follows the emergence of Christianity from that point on.

I'm hoping his facts are reliable. I've already figured out that a lot of the conclusions he comes to based on these facts are pretty silly.

Treasure Hunter
I started reading Alice in Wonderland, but I only got through 2 chapters. It's a good book, but I don't really feel like reading it anymore.
