What came before the Big Bang?

First you are told.... 'this is this...and that is that'.
Then someone else will come along and say...'No it ain't'.>>

John Ruskin has the answer to your predicament...

For what we SAY and do........

Stand before heaven....they will ask.....what do you believe?

Whatever your reply.....'Who told you THAT, and why did you believe it?!'

You might suffer the consequence for your declaration.
And the one who taught you will also suffer.

It is written .....be careful you are not deceived.

There is nothing to admit, nor anyone who can admit it.

We have been round and round about you and your existence. I have asked you repeatedly to show me the "I" you claim exists, and you always try to put it back on me. It is like the Christian fundie claiming God exists, and then trying to make the atheist responsible for proving that he doesn't.

Since you failed to demonstrate the existence of "I", I closed the discussion.

You are in checkmate.

You're not winning this thread either.

Especially if 'you' insist ....'you' don't exist.

If 'you' don't exist.....'you' can't win!

Good! I was never interested in 'winning' from the very beginning. Maybe they'll crown you 'King Thief, Seducer of Nuns and Fabricator Extraordinaire'

No matter how careful you are, you can still be deceived, been there, done that too many times.

My Inspiration never wanted a crown on His head.

I shall refrain as well.

First time someone has won a debate by not having to demonstrate the veracity of his claim.

You win, but are still under house arrest, otherwise known as

CHECKMATE!

Yeah to a point.....we are directed to be perfect....but getting there is a trick.

Have you read my signature?

And there is no mystery to life.
The design of the body explains it.
We are here to learn all that we can before we die.
The linear experience will produce a unique spirit on each occasion.

The 'design of the body' just explains its adaptation to its environment, which is simply Earthly existence. 'Learning' is just an extension of that adaptation, and not applicable to the environment of an afterlife, even if there were one.

You are here not to learn, but to dance. Dancing is already part of your nature; learning comes to you via your social indoctrination, and can actually get in the way of dancing. Learning comes to an end at death, when you can continue on as the dance of the universe.

hey Thief,
As to your phrase: "We are here to learn all that we can before we die."
If, as you state, we all go somewhere. Heaven, porgatory, or hell.
What is one going to do with all that one has learned ?
What use would all one's knowledge be ?
What accomplishment will be fufilled, by worship or worse(hell for instance).
Confused am I again.

Multiple levels at hand.

How to be trusted with anything greater if not trusted in the least of things?

First we step into the next life and discover how social we really are.
We get to share our dreams.

Then if we have what it takes....perhaps we can be trusted to be creative.
Truly creative.

Do you believe in the Big Bang?

Do you think it was a superior being who created the Big Bang?

Do you think the multiverse theory is a good explanation?

Was it something else?

Yes

It is a possibility

Also a possibility

Could be

All answers for questions prior to the BB are speculation. One answer is not better than another in my opinion. We already have issues with plank time right after the BB.

A 'has been' goes to heaven, LOL.

(maybe ninja training can help one escape the prisons of heaven, hell, purgatory....)

No one escapes total vaporization right at the Pearly Gates. Then there's no problem because there is no "I" to create any ruckus.

Thief is toast!

After all this time now... I still don't understand why "nothing" is an unacceptable "answer" for some.

Theists have their claims, beliefs, and apologies.

Everyone else destroys all those assertions as utterly unfounded, unprovable, or even silly.

OK.

Now what?

Think neither God, nor not-God.

Now you are free to return to where you've always been.
