What do you think of the Moon hoaxers

Honestly, I've learned to ignore conspiracy theories as they have little practical value. They tend to bring out the OCD "what if" paranoia of thinking hidden and unseen forces are at work in the world. Future historians will probably look at conspiracy theories on YouTube as the equivalent of mythology and our perpetual dissatisfaction with the world, so we make up stories that "fit" our preconceptions better. It's a strangely anti-intellectual period of history we live in where we're more interested in uncovering lies in our past than finding out the truth for the sake of bettering our future.

okay...but in this case. the US didn't gain anything but the glory. no money, but the right to say "I'm the best"
Sounds like Middle school boys' spirit of competition
We got science. Money is not important. Space exploration is.

Many many people from other countries hold the view that landing on the moon was an insignificant waste or that it never even happened. But to those of us who won the race, the view is glorious! It's cute how jealous little people think up ways to minimize the achievements of others, eh?

Note: When the landing actually happened, there was great excitement & pride around the world. Even in other countries, poor countries, they felt that they were the "we" in "We did it!". I remember.

One is the miniaturization of the emitter, and another is shielding to keep said microwaves from leaking out of the box. There's more, but those are the two most important.
Are those changes solely due to technology from the moon landings? Shielding looks rather obvious to anyone skilled in the art (excuse the patent law jargon there). The first Radarange (1954) had shielding, btw.

If it was a hoax, how didn't the Russians find out and why didn't they tell each and every American that it was a hoax?

There are 2 possibilities:
1) They were part of the conspiracy.
2) They were too technologically incompetent to notice....along with every other country in the world.

Wait. I wasn't trying to say the Moon Landings were vital to the microwave, just that the Space-Race and NASA was. I think we might have misunderstood the other.

Without some convincing evidence otherwise, I'd say that the microwave evolved in parallel with the space program. Does the history of circuit integration relate to this?

I did a little research and apparently NASA was instrumental in the miniaturization of the emitter as well as making it cheaper.

"Instrumental in" sounds pretty weak to me.....but let's agree that there are tertiary benefits of the space program. I'm happy enuf with the primary benefits.

How nice. I would like you to comment the last minute of this video:

tell me what do you think about the song and the video....and the last scene is what most people around the world think about this achievement

None of the singing or talking made any sense.....something about "money", "power" & "beatch". This is what most of the world thinks? Then most of the world isn't thinking.

sorry...I wasn't ignoring your post. As I said to Revoltingest....this is what most of the world think of this American achievement:
(the last scene about the flag is the most significant....)

It was never about science. It was about competition and the innate tendency to steal other people's ideas

Science and technology is what we got, that's what matters. Space exploration and one day colonization are the utmost importance to humanity.

I honestly don't really care to listen to the rap video, and currently am not around a computer with sound even if I were.

Again I don't care what other people think, what matters is the scientific and technological breakthroughs made.
