What flavor Christian are YOU?

for example...

CP's flavor is "real"
My flavor is "Occultic"
Katz is an "LDS" flavored Christian.

So....... what flavor Christian are you? ;)

My Christ does not really have a flavor, rather my Christ has an aroma and a fragrance.

Triumph in Christ

When I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ, even though a door was opened for me in the Lord, my spirit was not at rest because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I took leave of them and went on to Macedonia.

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ. 2 Corinthians 2

So your flavor is an empty container that smells like a burning insence stick?

*still, by your post, I can't help but smell the aroma of INK topping on PAPER parfait* :D

Ultra, how can one be an occultic Christ-follower?

what's occultic about the Holy Spirit, crying "Abba, Father", and loving one's enemies?

i don't really have a flavor, Ultra.

i came to Christian faith through a dream about Jesus, and have been following Him ever since.

i believe He is God's unique Son, and the Messiah, that He was crucified, and is risen from the dead, and is alive now.

when describing His teachings to others, what strikes me is His teaching us to call God "Father" and to pray conversationally and humbly, to love and pray for our enemies, to serve one another, and to turn away from sin and worldly things to follow Him.

i've met and been very touched and humbled to meet Catholic Christians, Protestant Christians, and Christians of no denomination. i am especially moved and touched by stories like these, from men and women who suffer very much to believe in and follow Jesus.

Jesus loves you
Sweet to taste but turns your stomach bitter.

Revelation 10:9-10 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Being a Christian is sweet to taste, that is you are filled with an unspeakable joy at knowing the Lord and His power in your life but at the same time you are saddened for those who know not this power and who live in darkness. You fear for your loved ones who do not know the Lord and when they die you miss them more knowing you may never see them again. This is why it turns your stomach bitter so to speak.

But we have a God of comfort:

2nd Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Who shall one day make all things new:

Revelation 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And we will sorrow no more:

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away

Desert Dream Dessert? perhaps? :p

Certainly you don't mean your christianity is bland & flavorless? do you?

You strike me as the "family establishment server".

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I am margarita flavored - sweet and tangy at the same time, and I pack a kick that can really sneak up on you.

Can be addictive if you've got that predisposition.

Texas specialty.

On the rocks, not frozen. And heavy on the salt of the earth!

I'm just kidding. I am Methodist flavored.

But one thing I really like about Methodists is that we can drink margaritas with impunity!

And then dance!

What does the "Secular flavor" taste like J Bryson?
Why is it the one you choose over all the rest?
Is it a blend? or a neopolitan of some kind?
Does it come in a dish? a glass? a cup? or a cone?
I'm guessing it has multicolored sprinkles.
*intuition*

Multicolored sprinkles, nothing that requires that I put my reason away in order to enjoy the flavor. 1% of the guilt of the leading brand.

well, i take personal issue with equating discipleship to a flavor of ice cream or liquor flavoring.

there's a certain amount (a good deal, actually) of respect, reverence, humility, and gratitude which goes into a relationship with God via Christ. i wouldn't say it lends itself to be compared to a flavor or spice.

there is variety within the Christian world. some Christians emphaize different points in their theology, observe different traditions, read different translations of the Bible, and approach the Christian life in diverse ways. what unites us is God's Son, the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit, and our lives spent serving and reflecting Him.

it's a blessing to serve such a Master, not a curse or a drudgery. it's a blessing to be free to really live for God, and for your fellow men and women. it's a blessing to know for sure where one will go when one dies, and to know the grace and peace of walking with God.
