What Happens When You Die?

Thief

Rogue Theologian
While the divine nature may not be ultimately held to physical laws, it voluntarily decided to temporarily 'become flesh', which means it agreed to abide by the physical laws.

The divine nature does not have a sense of egoic self; that is why it can be the divine nature.

Rain falls. Flowers grow. Where is the sense of self?

Inside of you.
The answer is in your next post.

Not that it will tell the truth.
You prefer to run in circles around the burning bush!

The truth is.....'you' will answer this post.....badly.
'You' always do.
'You' can't help 'yourself'.

When 'you' answer, 'you' are proving me right.
Only 'you' have the power to refrain.
Prove me wrong.
Set 'yourself' aside.
Don't ever respond.
If 'you' do....it's 'your ego'....in play.

Inside of you.

What? The self is inside of 'you'? There are two of you?....or three?, as in 'me, myself, and I'? Then, of course, there is the fourth; the one making the observation about the first three. Then there is a fifth, the one making the observation about the fourth,....and.....on and on. A hallucination.

There is no observer of the observation. There is only the observation itself. There is the observation of rain falling and flowers growing. Why do insist upon adding an unnecessary extra? The observer is self-created. It is an illusion. Don't you see that, or are you so imprisoned by the ego that you cannot bear to let it go? Oh, I know: you can't bear the fact that the illusory self dies and does not enjoy the afterlife of lusty fun and frolic in the heavenly woods with 17 (count'em) lovely nymphs.

Don't be silly...it doesn't play well.

What doesn't play well is the tragic drama of life on earth, due to the false sense of a separate self that acts upon the world.

So c'mon now. Answer the question. Where is this so-called 'self' you claim exists inside of 'you'? You're hallucinating and making things up again, Thief.

Word salad.
who is doing the observing?.....you are.
who is responding to this alleged hallucination?.....you are.
who will die and fade to black for lack of self acceptance?....you will.

If it all plays out like 'you' say it will.....'you' will cease to exist.

I will continue.....my ego is forever.

Jesus in me
Death cannot exist without it's corresponding aspect, life, and vice-versa. They work in harmony, not in conflict. The conflict is only in your mind. Because it is in your mind, it is projected onto reality, thereby generating real conflict, where none originally exists. This applies to Good and Evil as well.

I believe the conflict is that both can't exist at the same time. One can't be dead and alive at the same time noir can one be good and evil at the same time. Also life and good can exist without death or evil but I agree that death and evil are dependent on life and good.

It was a picture of a fox that happened to LOOK like Jesus when viewed in a particular way. It was not a picture of Jesus perse. That was already in your mind.

Actually I believe it didn't look like Jesus but it was represented by the people doing the picture as Him.

But why does the swordfight exist in the first place? I believe swordfights usually occurred as duels to resolve a conflict.

The actualized conflict between good and evil comes about because of a mistake in understanding their relationship. Because of morality, good must oppose evil, as dictated by the concept of good. Then there is conflict, but none originally exists.

I am not sure what is meant by originally. I believe there was a time when there was only good.

If that was the case, then what is the origin of evil? Would it not have had to originate from the good?

When you refer to what is 'good', are you referring to moral good, as compared to beneficial/detrimental?

That is what your ego likes to entertain, because it wants to be stroked forever and forever for self-gratification, until the bubble bursts, that is.

To say that 'you' are doing the observing is to self-create the observer, where none exists in the first place. The 'observer' 'exists' only when 'you' think about it. Otherwise, there is no 'who' that is the observer. There is only the act of observing itself, which occurs whether there is awareness of an 'observer' of the observation or not. When there is no awareness of an 'observer', where is the 'observer'?

There is no river that flows; there is only flowing water.

There is no whirlpool that whirls; there is only whirling water.

There is no thing called a 'wave'; there is only waving itself.

There is no rain that falls; there is only raining.

So where does this so-called 'observer' that observes the observation reside inside of 'you'?

If he is found, tell him to get lost.

This bubble of mud and water will indeed burst.
I will then be free to go on.

You only think you are not free to go on, but going on is what has been the case all along, so get with it.

So why do you think you are enslaved? Because you try to freeze reality into a concept, instead of living it from moment to moment as it unfolds, letting go instead of clinging to false beliefs.

Belief clings;
Faith lets go.

Dissatisfied with the fact that concept does not match reality, you seek an 'afterlife' in some future time and place when everything will be alright. That is nothing more than a substantial, delusive idea.

I did not place 'me' in this parcel of meat.
I am not my own handiwork.
I will go when I am allowed to.

The old childish stance: "I didn't ask to be born into this family!"

Sure....sure...you had absolutely NOTHING to do with your presence here...uh huh...

HOGWASH!

But here you are, born into this world. Whether you asked to be born into this world or not is no longer the issue. Whether you are going on to an afterlife is not the issue. That you are here, now, is the issue; it is the ONLY issue. But once you understand what the issue is about, it is no longer an issue.

I see 'you' are quoting 'yourself'.....

And the only issue here is 'your' continual denial of...'your'....'self'.

Fertilizer. I will most likely become very good fertilizer considering my all american diet. Like with all of us bloated folks living in or around the ghettos of LA we are decomposing as we eat our next round of Mc Donalds.
The earth will welcome me back eagerly when I die

Yes, but it cannot process you as you will be composed of over 60% synthetic substances. Instead, you will be perfectly preserved as you are for the next several billion years, and wreak of McDonald's French Fry Oil. :D

Well I HAVE made 'my' mind.

All this word salad tossed back and forth is not my doing.

Show you?....go look in the mirror.
Then go bang your head on the wall till it bleeds.....again.
Take aspirin.

I'm disappointed in you Thief. I know you can do better, but you are secure in just going round and round on the equator of the billiard ball.

So the question will remain until you can provide a real answer:

Where is this 'I' located you say exists? And who is it that is looking at this 'I'?
