What is the definition of a "Woman"?

Post #138: If Luke Hudson's bio is anything to go by, then she is a woman, not a man.

Edit: And almost definitely if the photo on the website I've just visited is anything to go by (Joke).

Neither can modern science unless the context of the question is rigorously defined. Most gendered traits are not set in an objective or scientific foundation, and we now know that sex and gender are different things.

It's a good thing that the SCOTUS nominee didn't rush for an oversimplified answer and was both direct and informed enough to refuse to give one.
The Question was "What is a Woman"?
There can only be one answer... A companion of a Man & The opposite gender to a Man!

You think that the entirety of the definition of a woman's existence is in relation to a man? Boy, are you going to be frustrated.

According to their “biology”? Please see post #55 on page 3 of this thread.
Do you mean chromosomes? Or their reproductive organs? Or….what?
I think I mentioned natural testosterones levels, XX rather than XY chromosomes, and Prostate instead of a Uterus. As far as post #55, the fact that through modern technology we have the ability to make a biological man look like a biological woman, and visa versa has nothing to do with what I said.

I can't believe in a few hours there is an 8 page thread debate at RF over what a woman is, with much more of the debate ahead of us.

I think the factors present that lead to the label on a birth certificate, makes it fairly obvious to every person born in America, if they are a woman or not.

It doesn't strike me as being a complicated thing to figure out, but quite simple to identify a male or female at birth, and once that female is an adult, that is a woman.

Also, I think the word "womb", is where the "wom" in the word "woman" comes from, or what it stands for, in the etymology, so chances are, if you have a womb, you are a "wom"an. ;)

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
That's right....
A natural Companion of a Man is a woman! Not another man!
That's the whole point. Those distinct permanent identifiers that will never change and exist, tells the actual truth of the matter, much less settling it once and for all who is really and actually a man or a woman.

At least in a natural context.
