The new supreme court nomination of Biden Ketanji Brown Jackson can not answer this question.

i'm guessing this was brought up because of the right's need to live in a black and white world.

unfortunately it was a problem long before transexuals become a reality.

how?

easily

intersexed people don't fit neatly into a black/white world.

things are not always as they appear; nor are they otherwise.

people need to stop trying to control everyone else's business; when it doesn't directly affect them.

people are not objects that you can own.

That's right....
A natural Companion of a Man is a woman! Not another man!
Not for me! I am a man, and my natural companion is another man, who I have been with for 3 decades.

It might surprise you to learn that what is natural to you, I am not obliged to find natural to myself. I know, pity you don't have the right to overturn that, but there it is.

The Question was "What is a Woman"?
There can only be one answer... A companion of a Man & The opposite gender to a Man!
I guess my gay female cousin isn't a woman then, since she's married to another woman.
I'll have to call her up and tell her.
Oh yeah and my single friend, not a woman either, as she doesn't have a male companion.
Geez, I'm learning so much!

That's an interesting point. Could such a person ever be identified medically and biologically on their birth certificate, as the opposite of what the message their organs tells everyone they are.

I think the answer to the question in the OP lies there. ;)
I’d rather birth certificates have the chromosomes instead of a gender you can’t ask the infant about.

Nearsightedness is natural. Spectacles and contact lenses are artificial.
An interesting analogy.

It does, sometimes, seem to me that there are those who think that if what occurs "naturally" is not within the range of "norms" that they accept, then the individual should do without. Certainly, years ago when we were fighting over homosexuality and same-sex marriage, there were many who claimed that if a man couldn't be attracted to women, then he should simply do without sex and marriage.

I wonder how many of those people would assume, in the same way, that those who have terrible eyesight, naturally caused, simply ought not to be bothered looking at things, or reading?

Why do people always have to define a woman but I don’t see the same thing for men.
Two things I see....
- MTF athletes can have advantages that FTM lack.
- MTF bathroom & locker room users make some
people feel queasy about the possibility that they'll
leer at "real" women/girls.
