What will Kamala do about Illegal Immigrants coming into the US in mass and taking over jobs?

We know it was Democrats putting in their riders and earmarks insuring it dosent pass effectively keeping the border wide open and encouraging illegal crossings to continue.

Perhaps you could help us out and quote the part in that APnews article that talks about "riders" or "earmarks"?

"Senate Republicans again blocked a bill meant to clamp down on the number of migrants allowed to claim asylum"

"“We gave Republicans a second chance to show where they stand,” Schumer, a New York Democrat, said after the vote. “Do they want to fix this so-called emergency or do they want to show blind allegiance to the former president even when they know he’s wrong?”

Nothing about "riders" or "earmarks".

The question has been answered, the Left works against enforcing the law! They are the enablers who invite illegals to sneak into the country in hopes of being protected by sanctuary cities. Governors of states that are NOT sanctuaries are overwhelmed by the consequences of the irresponsible encouragement of illegal migration. So they decided to shift the burden to the cities and states responsible! But suddenly the same Leftist morons who encouraged illegal migration are having to deal with the problem that they encouraged! :)
Wait...
I thought the GOP was the Republicans, not the Democrats you keep wailing against?

Am I wrong and the GOP is the Democrats?

What has the Republicans done about undocumented workers?
I mean other than ship them to sanctuary cities and stop bipartisan immigration reform?

My major concern is the establishment of terror sleeper cells. There is an unsettling amount of military age men entering this country illegally and the incompetence of the Democrats will be the undoing of this country if we are attacked again 9/11 style. We all know who to blame if this happens.
What, exactly, have the Republicans done with illegal immigration?
I mean other than ship them to sanctuary cities and stop bipartisan immigration reform?
Oh, and talk a lot about it...

In 1986 (R) Ronald Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act which granted amnesty to 3,000,000 +/- illegal aliens. The idea was that tighter border controls and restrictions on the hiring of illegals going forward would solve the problem. That’s when the Left began providing sanctuary for illegals to protect them from law enforcement.

“IRCA prohibits employers from knowingly hiring, recruiting, or referring for a fee any alien who is unauthorized to work. The public policy behind this law reflects the concern that the problem of illegal immigration and employment requires greater control and stronger enforcement mechanisms by the federal government.”

So basically, what you are saying, is that the last thing Republicans have done about illegal immigration was 38 years ago?

What have they done in the last, say five years?

So basically a bunch of stuff he knew was going to get shot down for being illegal but he wasted all that money anyway?

How about you list the things that actually helped with the illegal immigration problem?

You missed why immigrants were coming to America. That bill actually gave a tool to prosecute businesses that hire illegal aliens. It was never enforced. Not by Democrats, not by Republicans. If the Republicans are all law and order and wanted to control immigration why didn't they ever prosecute businesses that continued to hire illegal immigrants?

What happened with that bill?
Did it pass?

I have not moved the goal post.
I am merely asking what the Republicans have done about undocumented workers.

It is not any fault of mine you are unable to find anything to present....
First it was “what have they done” then what have they done in the past “five years” now it’s just belligerent denial that they have done anything even after facts were presented!

What he was saying is the Democrats reneged on the deal with Reagan and the RNC. Reagan compromised, and included amnesty, in exchange for more border enforcement going forward. The Dem's got the amnesty, but then ignored the laws, by creating sanctuary cities; loophole. The amnesty and the lawlessness drew more people to the border. The swamp has not changed. They will renege on any good deal. Didn't Biden make a bonus deal with Elon Musk for electric cars. Musk met all the milestone and then DNC reneged. The border has to be sealed first before any talk of amnesty. If you talk amnesty that will draw more people. We learned that from history.

Under Biden and Harris the Democrats ignored the immigration laws that were already on the books and reversed what Trump had done that was just starting to work. Czar Harris's job was over seeing the lawlessness and reversal to chaos. You will not se any positive results, since that was not her goal. She wanted to bring pain to the US people. That is not something she wishes to flaunt in an election year.

I do think Harris enjoyed it when Texas was getting the worse of it, since they are Republicans. The Governor of Texas was smart and bussed the problem to sanctuary cities. It was the pressure from other Democrats that forced the DNC to act responsibly. .

What I would do is empower the border States. Texas has a recipe that is working, even with the Biden and Harris law suits designed to keep the border open.

Below is the graph that saved President Trump's life, when he turned his head to see.

You can see the worse month for Trump was about March 2019, After that things reversed was because he threatened Mexico with tariffs if they did not stop illegals from going through Mexico to the USA. That was a useful tool that cost nothing. Mexico started to guard its southern border. Trump reached the lowest point on the graph, and then Biden and Harris did the rest. Dumb and Dumber.

And again you accuse me of goal post moving when you are simply unable to present anything productive the Republicans have done about illegal immigrants or undocumented workers in the past 38 years.

Does anyone know Kamala’s stance on illegal immigrants?

Is this a concern? Why or why not?
There could be trouble for Harris and the border...

Maduro Election Victory Spells Trouble For Kamala Harris

"Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro's disputed election victory spells trouble for Vice President Kamala Harris as the U.S.-Mexico border takes center stage in the race for the presidency.

The presumptive Democratic nominee in the 2024 presidential race faces difficult paths to navigate after Maduro was declared the winner on Sunday, most importantly because the result may lead to what one expert told Newsweek said was likely to be a surge in migration from Venezuelans fleeing his regime.

If that happens, Republican lawmakers who have branded Harris as Biden's "border czar"—a description seen by her supporters as inaccurate—may attempt to capitalize on her comments about Venezuela to further attack her record on immigration policy and border security, particularly as migrant numbers typically rise between August and October....

Over 545,000 Venezuelans have fled to the U.S. from Maduro's authoritarian regime, and while that number is far behind the equivalent for countries such as Colombia, Venezuelans have been increasingly climbing up the top-ten list for nationalities encountered at the U.S.-Mexico border in recent years.

Polls conducted before the election suggested that up to a third of the population was considering fleeing if Maduro were reelected. This has been primarily driven by economic issues facing the country under his regime—issues that his reelection may exacerbate.

Dr. Grace Livingstone, lecturer at the Centre of Latin American Studies at the University of Cambridge, told Newsweek the results could lead to an exodus from Venezuela to the U.S."

Why is this a problem for Harris, this is a good example of the real reasons we have asylum seekers at the border, not because they are bringing drugs etc, but because they are fleeing untenable living conditions in their home countries.
The solution as it has been is to work on reasons for them not to leave, not to stigmatize them with imagined offenses.

A good example to point out the fallacy of the Trump approach.

If she's smart, she will revive Republican Senator Lankford's (KY) immigration reform bill.

“The border security bill will put a huge number of new enforcement tools in the hands of a future administration and push the current Administration to finally stop the illegal flow. The bill provides funding to build the wall, increase technology at the border, and add more detention beds, more agents, and more deportation flights. The border security bill ends the abuse of parole on our southwest border that has waived in over a million people. It dramatically changes our ambiguous asylum laws by conducting fast screenings at a higher standard of evidence, limited appeals, and fast deportation.
“New bars to asylum eligibility will stop the criminal cartels from exploiting our currently weak immigration laws. The bill also has new emergency authorities to shut down the border when the border is overrun, new hiring authorities to quickly increase officers, and new hearing authorities to quickly apply consequences for illegal crossings. It changes our border from catch and release to detain and deport.
Why do we want something that was barely usefull back when a "Great Wall" was built to keep out a mighty warlord and his horde?
We have technology that renders walls amd foot patrol obsolete but so many Reps amd Cons don't wanna hear a wall is a tremendous waist of money amd just not really effective or efficient. They need their visual of a "**** you, keep out" to feel safe.

Right, today Reagan would be a democrat.

That sort of thing was a response to the excessive and anti-migrant rhetoric coming from the right. The states that needed the agriculture labor did what they had to, and even conservatives were happy about it since it meant our produce was picked and made it to market.

Yeah, but if this law was enforced produce would see massive inflation, and that would have a huge backlash against republicans. Republicans want it both way, they want to appear tough on migrants, but will turn their backs on migrant labor, even if some are not here leagally, so produce will be processed. The same goes with construction. And hospitality services.
