When Should We Not Love?

In Truth, we are all slaves as we are all free Darkwater. I am a slave to Jesus Christ because I live by righteousness, but free because The Truth has set me free (John, 8:35). I practice my faith in Jesus Christ, which makes me a slave, but live in His Peace, and in His Love, which makes me free. I am a slave in this world because I am owing back a loan, but fearless in life as I am fearless of death that makes me free to die for Jesus Christ because He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. I am a slave to those around me, but free to live a mystery where no human understands. Life is indeed a mystery Darkwater just like Jesus Christ is a Mystery. If you believe that, than you are free in life even though you are a slave by The Truth. If you do not believe it, than you are a slave to the world even though you are free to decide.
Amen.

We, as children of God, are always called to love one another. Jesus Christ said "love one another as I have loved you" To love your brother means you are not a liar, but stand on principle and The Truth that you too love Jesus Christ. For if you love your brother, whom you see, than you love Jesus Christ, whom you cannot see. Love is far and beyond more powerful than hate. Love your neighbor as yourself. Love your enemies because they too deserve to be loved. You show love most honestly when you forgive trespasses against you and forget about it. Always Love! Love, which we show, works through faith, which we believe. So if you firmly believe in The Truth that has set you free, than you should also prove what you believe by expressing your love that is free. Just like you come to church with a open heart to praise and worship Jesus Christ, you come also to love with an open heart that shows you care and appreciate what you have received in life. Amen.

Greetings Disciple. Welcome to RF. Love your love. You have voiced the message from Jesus as Christ which is good for all time imho. Do you know fellow Christians that are able to overcome the ego and practice this message full time?

Why does it matter whether or not others do? Is it better first not to make sure that you do if you're a follower?

This is what god said about his love for saul:

2 Samuel 7: 15But my love will never be taken away from him(david), as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

Saul/Paul had a textbook *vision*,or meeting with a being of greater duration.higher resonation, just his interpretation is seriously, seriously flawed & labels/description torturously woeful. Other than that I believe he is genuine enough.

You guys are great with your quotes, respects. You ok with me trying & proving you some?a wee bit of close scrutiny never hurt anything?

I'm at work right now so can't reply fully right now, other than nice to meet you Donald.

Greetings. Thanks for responding to my comments. Yes, one would try not to displease his/her beloved, but the reason one does this is love of the beloved not fear of displeasing the beloved isn't it? Isn't Love the driving force? Forgive me if my questions seem pushy; just trying to understand your viewpoint.

My memory is drawing on something read over forty years ago, but as recalled 'another' refers to any other human being, Muslim or not.

Is doing 'for the sake of' the same as doing 'to avoid displeasure of' ?

Our relegion islam is a favor from Allah revealed to his massengers in order to bring us glad tiding and to warn us.

to warn us from his displeasure, and to tell us about the great reward for those Who avoided satan's temptations.

Qura'an The Tabel 5:18-19

[18] (Both) the Jews and the Christians say: "We are sons of Allah, and His beloved." Say: "Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men, of the men He hath created: He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth: and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between: and unto Him is the final goal (of all)."

[19] O People of the Book! now hath come unto you, making (things) clear unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) Our Messengers, lest ye should say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil)"; but now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah hath power over all things.

Note that the shortest line between two points is the staright line.
so any attempt to deviate from the straight path is vain attempt and it means nothing but delaying your arrival.

so, to follow the straight path which take you to Allah, you have to Avoid his displeasure because when you displease him the path will darken and you will not be able to see it.

Iron [57:12-15]
[12] One Day shalt thou see the believing men and the believing women; How their Light runs forward before them and by their right hands: (their greeting will be): "Good News for you this Day! Gardens beneath which flow rivers! to dwell therein for aye! this is indeed the highest Achievement!"

[13] One Day will the Hypocrites - men and women - say to the Believers: "Wait for us! let us borrow (a light) from your Light!" it will be said: "Turn ye back to your rear! then seek a light (where ye can)!" so a wall will be put up between them, with a gate therein. Within it will be Mercy throughout, and without it, all alongside, will be (Wrath and) Punishment!

[14] (Those without) will call out, "Were we not with you?" (The others) will reply, "True! but ye led yourselves into temptation; ye looked forward (to our ruin); ye doubted (Allah's Promise); and (your false) desires deceived you; until there issued the Command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you in respect of Allah.

[15] "This Day shall no ransom be accepted of you, nor of those who rejected Allah; your abode is the Fire: that is the proper place to claim you: and an evil refuge it is!"

Satan want to tempt us to displease Allah ,thus to deserve hell fire for our sins.

So as a muslim I will be careful to Avoid his displeasure in order to keep crossing the straight path and to be able to reach his Paradise.

This life is like an Exam , you have to avoid mistakes in order to pass, regardless you love the instructor or not.

Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish.

Mat 25:3 They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Mat 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

foolish : who loves the groom without making any deed help them to pass thier way
Oil: is the Good deeds( deeds that please God)
vergin sleeping: means death
midnight : judgement day

remember the foolish loved the groom !

ok Disciple of Christ, outwith the 4 cornerstones of philosophy true & applicable to every being, either animal, vegetable, mineral & eaxh of the elements known & unknown, what is the mystery of christ?

Do you suffer from low self esteem?

Freedom to the slave,
fortune to the brave,
& may your giving hand
never wither..........

ps Roman Catholic cornerstones of philosophy are fatally flawed as you maybe know,I mean the 4 regular ones.

OK. That seems to be the negative side of the coin to me but wish you the best with it. It seems likely that you do not need my opinion.:)

come on..., in paradise we will be able to see Allah , don't you yearn for seeing him?

Is it so negative!
Greetings. Guess if it works for you it isn't so negative.:) It is just that my spirit runs with the Sufi mystics and the light is to be seen before our bodies transition; that is, while living. Love is a major driving force and love of Allan is primary for many other Muslims I have known. Did not Muhammed give the priority of love for Allah as did Jesus - love God with all thy heart, mind and soul, love thy neighbor as thyself, and love thine enemies?

When Jesus said love thy enemy..he was telling the jews to love the gentiles.

And we can apply that to us who would otherwise have enemies, as it is more than a contextual saying, but a philosophy. One that is shared by other great teachers like Buddha.

Muslims Principles Based on this Verse in Surah Baqarah 2:2

[2] This is the book; in it is guidance, sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah

So Allah specified guidance By what we call in Islam "Taqwa:fear" which mean to Avoid what Allah had prohibited and to do what Allah had imposed.

literally, the Word Taqwa means: to make a shield of light around your heart to protect it from Satan's temptations.

The one who fear Allah is called "Muttaqi", and Muttaqi will not remain Muttaqi without infinite struggle with statan

There are no levels in Islam, the struggle between you and satan will continue until your death.

Another verse which explain my Idea more [chambers 49:13]

O ye folk! verily, we have created you of male and female, and made you races and tribes that ye may know each other.
Verily, the most honourable of you in the sight of God is the most pious of you; verily, God is knowing, aware!

so "Taqwa" is the cornerstone [the most important factor which lead you through the straight path]

Love is noble feeling I can employ it to please Allah, but I don't care about sufi's ranks and levels, because regardless the level you have obtained, satan will not leave you and will continue tempt you to displease Allah.

1- satan will tempt you to Worship other Gods beside Allah [ to become polytheist]

if satan didn't succeed in that .....

2- he will tempt you to originate a heresy in the relegion , like " how about making nice statue which represent God? "

if satan didn't succeed in that .....

3- he will temp you to do terrible sins , like committing adultery, stealing, to deal in usury, to kill ,..etc

if satan didn't succeed in that .....

4- he will try to tempt you to do small sins, like backbite some one, gaze on pornstars magazine , throwing trash on street,.....etc

if satan didn't succeed in that .....

5- he will tempt you to fill your time with permissible deeds, and to turn away from remembering Allah and from Doing righteous deeds.

for example, To watch a football match is permissible deed , but to expand in this deed and to fill your time with watching football matchs will decrease the time which you suppose to praise Allah on it.

In other words, satan will make the materialism term surpass the spiritual term in your soul, and materialisim will occupy most of your time.

So as you see this war against satan will not end until we die, and "Taqwa" is deferent from person to another.

So satan and his partner are your enemies ? do you still love your enemies?

blackout

Violet.
Why does religion make such a complicated mess of love.

Love is simple when it is pure.
And can be contained by no rules when it is expressed in freedom.

Taqwa does not mean fear. there is another word that means 'fear' and it is used sometimes. but Taqwa was said many times. Taqwa means reverence, awe, humility before God.

i personally would not hate Satan and would not love either. "love your enemy" is about loving people who see you as their enemy. no confusion there.
