When will Jesus return?

Zindagee Rahmaan

Believing in unity
I know for a fact that Jesus will return, because i believe in the scriptures. What i don't know is why his return is taking this long... can it be suggested he cannot return on his own will power but until all things be fulfilled by the greater power as written? (Acts 3:20-21). "My understanding here is that Jesus came and completed his mission on earth that he was sent to do and will return someday, but his return would not come until the Almighty God himself restores all things."

Hello!

We are parallel in thought that Jesus will come until God Almighty Himself will restore all things. But more important as for me or everyone here should be for why he will come?
look! Jesus came and did his mission for what he was sent to do and was taken alive with the promise to come back. No matter how long it will take, thats more concerned for why his return?

He will surely return to be witness against those claim for Jesus' crucifixion:

Quran states:

And (on account of) their saying, "We killed the Messiah, 'Isa son of Maryam, Messenger of Allah." They did not kill him and they did not crucify him but it was made to seem so to them. Those who argue about him are in doubt about it. They have no real knowledge of it, just conjecture. But they certainly did not kill him. (Surat an-Nisa': 157)

Allah raised him up to Himself. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat an-Nisa': 158)

Just after these verses in Surat an-Nisa 159, states the reason for his coming:

There is not one of the People of the Book who will not believe in him before he dies; and on the Day of Rising he will be a witness against them. (Surat an-Nisa': 159)

Asking when Jesus will return is like asking when santa will return. Not in the sense that they are affiliated with the same December date, but because the use of the word "returning" implies that he was here at one point. And implying that he was on earth at one point also implies his existence. Did a man named Jesus exist 2000 years ago? possibly, but I can assure you that if he did, he was no son of God or miracle worker in any way. Just a normal walking human that came about through the same evolutionary process as all humans have. Only with him, false stories have been tied to his name to create a focal point for a deluded group of people (and most of these stories, everything from the virgin birth, to walking on water, to death and resurrection, are parallel to the stories of the Egyptian god Horus, and all records of Horus have been historically proven to pre-date christ, so if any "borrowing" of information was done to fill out the character of the other, it was the authors of christianity who did the borrowing. Luckily ancient Egyptians didn't take plagiarism too harshly.) Common sense and logic dictates that there is no possible way God could exist. There is no proof of him, although if anybody finds some feel free to let me know and i'll believe. And please don't feed me the line that we just need faith in him though we may not see or understand. It's obvious that the creators of christianity realized that their religion was somewhat ridiculous and that they would have trouble getting people to follow them unless they could be taught blind, ignorant, faith. But yeah, long story short, the son of God is not returning to this earth because no God exists to have ever had a son to have sent in the first place.

Given the chasm between what Christian's preach vs what they practice, if i were them I would not be praying for Jesus' return.

Gianthousekey:
What was written aforetime was written for our learning. Personally i do not believe Jesus would return to do no work, as far as i understand he will return at an appointed time to sit with his father and judge. Whenever i speak anything religion i do not speak from a christian perspective, i do not represent christianity because i have my own view many of which contradicts christianity. So not because i mention Jesus or talk religion goes to say i'm christian or follow the doctrine of christianity.

Greetings!

Please note that IOV the Return has indeed happened about a century and a half ago!

So at least some of us aren't waiting around for it to happen!

Best! :)

Alright, um, I'm an atheist. I dont believe that God or Jesus or the supernatural in general exist. But even I know enough about the Bible to know that the Bible is very clear that when Jesus returns, all will know. not only BruceDLimber will know to spread the word on online forums. I don't mean this to sound like a personal attack at all, I'm just saying if you believe in God, read his book a little before commenting

You this for a fact? You don't know anything for a fact. You can't say anything that you have not witnessed or of which has no prove is a fact. Truth is, I doubt he is gonna return, and that he even existed as the man we know of today. He was probably just somebody who educated himself, and knew alot of things, and then claimed that he was the sending of God. I believe he was crucified for the RIGHT reason. They were right, he believed he was the son of God, and wasent.
