Will the Resurrection of the Body Be a Physical Resurrection from the Dead?

Article by Matt Perman

Yes, our bodies will be raised not spiritually or ethereally, but physically and materially. Our souls will be reunited with our transformed physical bodies, brought back to life from the dead. Scripture teaches this in many ways.

Not Biblical. Not taught by Christians.

So you do mean professed Christians aka Christendom, with their false beliefs.
Christians do not believe that, as it's not a Biblical teaching.
Yes, Christians do believe that even though it is a gross misinterpretation of the Bible.

You will find the same false belief on every website. #289

Glad you recognise it misrepresent the Bible. Christendom is huge. It's made up of thousands of professed Christian "denominations".

The teaching about the real condition of a person who dies is completely different from the teaching that has to do with the resurrection of the dead.

The Bible says that when a person dies, that is, when his spirit or energy leaves his body, the thoughts of that person no longer exist, that is, he no longer thinks, neither about the dead body nor much less about himself. that energy that left the body... because the thinking of a human is a result of processes that occur in the human brain. People of science recognize the same thing that the Bible teaches.

Psal. 146:4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground;
In that day his thoughts do perish.

On the other hand, some pseudoscientists say that communication with the dead is real... something that has never been scientifically proven, although many people claim it, the chance of proving that any invisible creature is a supposed ghost of a dead person is absolutely zero. Since the supposed being that communicates is invisible, it can pretend to be any person, dead or alive, that it wants to imitate.

The only thing that these particular experiences can prove is that there are invisible beings pretending to be people who have died.

And the Jehovah's Witnesses are one of the Christian denominations.
The other denominations say JWs have misinterpreted the Bible.
JWs say the other denominations have misinterepreted the Bible.

Hmmmmm.

The Bible is a book that God caused to be written for us to know answers that no human would know through human means, such as the real condition of the dead among other things.

What person would change the information given to us by the very person who created us, for what a human being says that cannot even have control over his own existence?

If the Bible says that the dead cannot praise God, it is because even the righteous who die do not go anywhere where they are still alive in another dimension, as many believe.

Is. 38:18 For the Grave cannot glorify you, Death cannot praise you. Those who go down into the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

Sal. 6:5 For in death there is no mention of you; In the Grave, who will praise you?
... 115:17 The dead do not praise Jah; Nor do any who go down into the silence of death.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't fit the category of denomination.

Wow blu :openmouth: I never imagined... :dizzy:
Excellent illustration... and use of scriptures.
Imagine that. An atheists gets right what so many religious people get wrong.
(Ssh .. I'll let you in on my secret ... I actually read the texts of the bible before I talk about what they say.)

This topic is not about Jehovah's witnesses. This topic is about the condition of dead people.
It is obvious you don't mind the truth...
Good bye.

Both say that Bahais misrepresent the Bible. Hmm.
So what? They are both wrong.
Baha'is are the only ones who know what the Bible really means since Baha'u'llah unsealed the Book.

Daniel Chapter 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13 But go thou thy way till the end be; for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

The 2,300 years came in 1844 and the Bible was unsealed by Baha’u’llah.
That math is explained in Some Answered Questions, 10: TRADITIONAL PROOFS EXEMPLIFIED FROM THE BOOK OF DANIEL

Christians accusing other Christians of not being "true Christians" goes on and on. The bickering and backbiting among them is as old as Christianity itself (1 Corinthians 1:10–17). As I said earlier (post #134), there's no reason to believe any of them, in my opinion. I think it's nonsense whenever any of them act as if their preferred version of Christianity and Bible interpretation are solely correct and other Christians who disagree are wrong and have false beliefs.

So nobody goes to heaven after they die? I guess the Christians have been wrong for 2000 years.

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Where do you think they go for eternal life, down to Walmart?

Those verses refer to a dead body, which is not the person. The soul is the person. The soul cannot die because it was created to be immortal.

And bahais pretendieng to be in agreement with practicers of spiritism, and atheists pretending to be religious to deceive real religious persons, and Bahais posing as Christians to give the Bible whatever meaning they want while proselytizing Baha'is, and anti-witnesses pretending to be interested in Biblical issues, etc, etc, etc.

Anything is good ... as long as it generate traffic... It's a shame that people are still fooled by people with so little desire to be interested in anything other than arguing. If any, I won't give any forum more than just a few minutes of my precious time ... it's not worthy.

They call it "spiritualism" and I used to think that was a real thing ... The real name of that practice is SPIRITISM and it is condemned by God as can be easily verified in the Bible.

Deut. 18:9 When you have entered into the land that Jehovah your God is giving you, you must not learn to imitate the detestable practices of those nations. 10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, anyone practicing magic, anyone who looks for omens, a sorcerer, 11 anyone binding others with a spell, anyone who consults a spirit medium or a fortune-teller, or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For whoever does these things is detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable practices Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.

As can be seen from the above passage, God warned the Israelites that they should not practice these things lest they become abominable in HIS eyes. He told them that by these same practices he was taking their land from the pagans and giving it to them, his people.

Very soon the whole planet will be swept of people who practice things that the Creator considers DETESTABLE.
The idea of an omnipotent omnscient God is entirely incompatible with the idea of a God who finds things "detestable," surely?
