Edit:
Isa 9:21 Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
I heard one involved with the intelligence community say recently that U.S. support of Israel is counterproductive to U.S. national security.
The answer is not leaving Israel to fend for themselves. Some enemies of Israel desire that we not support Israel, but this would do NOTHING to make us more safe. They will desire our destruction just the same -and really don't mind if we alienate one of the few allies we have left (perhaps the only un-compromised ally). Our separation is not only desired by them, but some work toward it.
What we ought to do -in the U.S. and Israel -is go legit -stop doing stupid things -stop being the evil we say we hate -promote the human rights we say we champion -stop acting like a buncha Nazis ourselves.
Isa 10:1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
Isa 10:2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
Isa 10:3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
Isa 10:4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
That's a whole lotta outstretching of hands we don't need, MAILER!
