The best example you can give of a Democratic Nazi is someone who is currently a Republican and has spent much more time as a Republican than as a Democrat?Does David Duke count?
You'll also notice it is conservatives who want the confederate statues to stay put. Why would right wingers support confederate statues of the left wing demokkkrat party? The best example you can give of a Democratic Nazi is someone who is currently a Republican and has spent much more time as a Republican than as a Democrat?
What I find Beyond Comprehension is why Democrats kept the name Democrat if the original Democrats were racist in origin. How anyone can think the confederate south was left wing is beyond comprehension
The origins weren’t racist. The Southern wing of the party was always a little out of step with the rest. What I find Beyond Comprehension is why Democrats kept the name Democrat if the original Democrats were racist in origin.
That's absolutely crazy. You would think they wouldn't even want to have the name Democrat associated with them because of its alleged racist origins. Why do you suppose that is?

It'd be like choosing usernames 'we're sorry that name is already taken, the following names are available: D3m0crats, Democrats24912, D_crats'
We already got one of those in Canada. So, I guess the Democrats could have changed their name to the "New Democrats.
Using Godwin's law, I wonder what if the name Nazi would have been kept.Because if political parties had to change names every time they supported a policy that was later deemed to be morally problematic then they'd probably have run out of names by now.

Ah, yes. Because Democrats were just as bad as the Nazi’s and Saddam.Using Godwin's law, I wonder what if the name Nazi would have been kept.
Or keeping the Bath party name in Saddam's Iraq.
Yet here we are in the US with the name Democrat still in circulation.

The Democrats had a racist Southern wing. This racist wing was expelled (or self-selected out) when the party disavowed such beliefs. The racist wing then joined a different party— the Republicans. Where they remain to this day.
Oh I see.Ah, yes. Because Democrats were just as bad as the Nazi’s and Saddam.

But yeah. It’s the Democrats who are the bad guys.
Looking at this from the real estate perspective....Oh I see.
"Heritage, not hate".
I wonder what other argument that was used with?
It’s fascinating how racists from 60 years ago get ya’ll riled up and how little modern day racists seem to bother you.So wait. The Dixiecrats joined the party which proposed Civil Rights bills for decades before LBJ saw the writing on the wall as revenge.... Hilarious.....
You should look at the list of Dixiecrats in Congress which didn't leave the party......

Irrational or not, historically, that’s what happened.Nope. Just pointing out the irrationality of your assertion which is just used to further a generalization against people that disagree with you politically.
Irrational or not, historically, that’s what happened.
And, we still see that today, with the white supremacists and neo-Nazi’s aligning themselves with the Republicans.
Evidence.
If true, that’s unfortunate. And NOI aligns with Dems. They had a nice lunch and hugs with it's leader.

Senator Robert Byrd was a Dixiecrat. He stayed in congress and didn't switch to the republican party. The confederate south were a bunch of left wing racists! Once the democrat party started supporting civil rights, that's when the confederate racists moved to their own Dixiecrat party! You should look at the list of Dixiecrats in Congress which didn't leave the party......
