Very creative but it has nothing to do with the prophesies.
Far too ambiguous.
The prophesies are not ambiguous. They mean what they mean. That's my point. There is no such thing as an unambiguous piece of language, much less an unambiguous prophecy.
It's why I say that those who are certain either way about Jesus and fulfillment... those people seem to be suffering some confusion about how language and thought really work.
The prophesies are not ambiguous. They mean what they mean.
Trying to twist and turn them to fit your beliefs is disingenious.
Many swords have been beaten into plowshares, and spears into pruning hooks. I could go out and fulfill this one in Jesus' name tomorrow. Just a visit to a blacksmith.
So far as I know, no nation uses swords anymore to make war against other nations, although I'm not sure if that's Jesus' fault. But I can make a good case for it if you like.
As for 'they shall not learn war', that's obviously figurative language. The prophesy is about spiritual, ideological warfare, in the style of the Cold War except on steriods, and no nations have been doing that for centuries now. Christianity infused itself into every nation and put a stop to that.
Wow, thats one big reinvention.
You decided it meant ideological warfare all by yourself.
First of all none of these things happened in the time of Jesus, so they are useless as a sign.
Second of all, even with religus warfare, it still happened plenty of time after Jesus dead, from the catholic church, from the muslims and others.
Excellent point.A lot of wars included swords even more than a thousands years later of Jesus demise.
Cursed?? Where do you get that from? The land of Israel is blessed. How else can you explain how tiny Israel defeated five combined armies of the arabs, not once but several times? How does Israel make the desert bloom when for everyone else, it was a waste land? Israel is a miracle and continues to be blessed.
I don't know of any within Judaism. Please list a few.
So basically what you are saying is that jesus didn't fulfill any of the prophesies.
Thanks.
A lot of wars included swords even more than a thousands years later of Jesus demise.
Yep. The end of all wars will culminate after the ages are done. It's like the cherry on the Sundae. It's the Happy ending after a great period of Tribulation. After all the world not only believes in the Abrahamic god, but accepts one united version of his will and ideals.
The problem is that the Rabbis want you to believe it happens all at once. It's as if they can't possibly fathom the idea that it's a series of stages that culminates into something.
I don't know who said that Jesus didn't fulfill any of the prophesies, but I have just now proven that he did indeed fulfill them.
Let me know if you want more information about the fulfillments.
On what planet did you do so?
In itself this thread doesnt make any sense at all.
For christians it doesnt matter if their Jesus didnt fulfill a single prophecy. He will return afterall and fulfill them then.
Its the ultimate Plan B. Plan B also can never fail even if they find a guy named Jesus and he dies again.
Plan B simply repeats itself and suddenly a third coming is born.
Once you start with this your religion will never die.
Smart people those christians.
Planet Truth, of course. All other worlds are alien to me.
You got it backwards.
At least you thereby acknowledge that he didn't fulfill any of the listed prophesies.
