Whistleblower to IRS: "Mormon Church has amassed $100 billion in tax-empt fund

Joseph Smith was charged 100 times and had to spend a lot of his life in jail and was never found guilty of anything. Neither will you find our leaders ever with cocaine, gambling, hookers or male prostitutes. That is something I know. Only 15 leaders of the Church get any money at all, it's less than $100,000/yr each, and it goes to traveling.
You don't gain a magical immunity to corruption. It doesn't happen. Ever.

We're not buying our way out. We're trying to bring happiness to people and hope that we can get more people, including ourselves, to survive the second coming.
Matthew 24:21, Amos 5:18-20 and Isaiah 13:9 all point to the righteous being rescued when you read the verses around them.

In my opinion, Zephaniah 1:15, Ezekiel 7:19 and Zephianiah 1:18 are about previous destruction before the second coming.

If you do not contend with me on my interpretation I won't contend with you on yours.

The tribulation is just before the judgment......and "Babylon the great" is the first to go.....so who is "Babylon the great"? (Revelation 18:4-5) Why do the political elements as well as the commercial system lament her passing? (Revelation 18:9-10; Revelation 18:15-17)

What will $100 billion do exactly "to bring happiness to people"? It is our faith that gets us through the great tribulation......not money.

God doesn't need money to rescue his people.....he can do just fine without it. He kept his entire nation alive in a dessert for 40 years without money.

We don't spend the money on fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

We do spend the money on charity and missionary work.

God doesn't need the money, but giving it helps us not feel greedy.

Go figure!

That is not what this thread is about....why would $100 billion be sitting in a church bank account when "giving it helps us not feel greedy." ?
So far, we have heard from only one witness. Without that second witness, we cannot be sure the money is there.

That is why we need the evidence....if it is there, then there should be an inquiry. Since it has come from within the church, best to wait and see what they have to say....whistle-blowers usually have a lot to lose.

Most churches have tithing... tithing is so you don't get greedy with your money.

The Church having lots of money does not mean it is being misspent.

Evidence? When have you concerned yourself with that?

My Church has never had a financial scandal in its entire history. I hope this accusation turns out OK for them. I never heard of a second coming fund.

And like Revolutiongiest says, they believe the second coming is coming soon and money can help them fight for Christ to win.

I do not believe the 'return of Christ' will require funds.

I have always been concerned with evidence...real evidence that is. I just don't confuse evidence with suggestion....it helps to know the difference. :D
Yes. I have seen you leave yourself this out to avoid dealing with evidence you don't like.
