Hey Joseph, Bald assertions aren't going to go over well on this site. You might want to substantiate your claims with.........evidence.
By definition...faith needs no proving.

the only thing that is empirically understood about faith is the wanting to be rightBy definition...faith needs no proving.
By definition...faith needs no proving.
Then again, you might not want to.
(As I requested in #411, to no avail)
Anyway, what would evidence for "I am that I am" and/or "God is" look like?
Or how might I give evidence that "now exists" (eternally)?
thank you Tristesse.Well, for one, you could try to demonstrate that the book is reliable and accurate.
the best use of all. It's called freedom! aha yey!By definition...faith needs no proving.

"I am, I am"
justly translated to be,
'He is, He is"
ISIS, the Indian name for Jesus Christ our Savior.
Are you implying that can't happen?
faith needs no proving
??? Isis gets prosperity and cheaper upgrades and fast building awesome obelisks and ... have you seen her?
Seriously though I have never heard that Isis is the name of Jesus. I have heard Isis come up in relation to Mary and Horus in relation to Jesus.
Virgin Isis vs Virgin Mary etc... I know a lot of Christians think the virgin birth story is kind of unique because they have never looked elsewhere perhaps? It is a bit confusing as even when I was a christian I was taught the immaculate conception of Mary was what the virgin birth was about as well as taught that the two differed and eventually you just have to go research and figure it out because there seems to be a lot of confusion out there.
no. my emphasis is on the "wanting" to be right
simply for this reason:
So now an emotional retort is equivalent to reason?
I know the difference between what I want....
and what I cannot deny.
better...By definition...faith needs no proving.
i do not understand what this has anything to do with the discussion...Still hedging on no life after death...I see.
If "faith needs no proving", then if you were right, how would you ever know? Are you implying that can't happen?

Are you familiar with the term "deepity"?Where righteousness stops at the feet of Joyfulness.
It refers to a statement that has (at least) two meanings; one that is true but trivial, and another that sounds profound, but is essentially false, or meaningless with respect to this deeper meaning, but would be "earth-shattering" if true.
a = adeepity is deepity
funny, you didn't include the (your) reason...
here, i'll do it for you
better...
yes faith is the wanting to be right because it relies on the premise that it doesn't need to proven objectively... religious faith is convenient that way.
i do not understand what this has anything to do with the discussion...
so i'll just ignore it.
thank you Tristesse.
but, the best use of all. It's called freedom! aha yey!
Okay.
IS the Bible reliable?
The Bible claims that the Babylonian citizens were all turned to the true god during the Jewish captivity. Now They are all muslims following the old testament.
This happened because the King who witnessed the miracle of God saving his servants decreed the entire city would worship God, and the enemy was turned into followers and set them free. It was this very king who sent messengers to Israel saying that There were no Gods who could save.
To this day they are not Jewish, so we have a completely uncontaminated source to back up the Bible, the Muslims of Iran and Pakistan and Iraq.
more? The Bible was reliabel and accurate, because God saved his servants from Fire!
Amen
