Who made God?

I agree. But if thats the case, why is faith a good thing? Why would you want to believe something for which you have no evidence for?

First of all, there is a difference between blind faith [credulity] and the faith and belief that Jesus taught.

Jesus based his faith on logical reasoning on already existing Scripture.

We too can compare corresponding parallel verses and passages along the same line of thought by subject or topic arrangement.

Jesus often prefaced his statements with the words, " It is written ".
Where was it written but in the already existing Hebrew OT Scriptures.
1] Earth is evidence. Concrete evidence of being here.

2] Bible is evidence because, although written on fragile paper, no one has been able to get rid of it. No enemies whether from within or without.

3] God's people are evidence because no one can get rid of them either
nor stop the spreading of the proclaiming of the good news of God's kingdom [Matt 24v14] on a global or world-wide scale just as Jesus foretold.

well lets see...
god is a jealous god
god has to have power over your life
god is to be feared
god is vengeful
god is the center of the universe
seems pretty human to me.

Jealous is not always envy but like a loving husband might jealously safeguard his wife from harm's way.

A loving child might want to not displease a loving father by having 'reverential fear' of not wanting to displease him.

Yes vengeance is God's, because as Psalm [11v5; 72v14]
says: God hates violence.
God does not find pleasure in wickedness [Psalm 5v4]
God does not find pleasure in lawlessness [Psalm 5v5]
God's statutes are righteous, commandments pure [Psalm 19vs7-11]
God loves righteousness and hates wickedness [Psalm 45v7; 145v17]
God is a rock of Salvation and a refuge [Psalm 62vs7,8; 95v1]
God is just [Psalm 92v7; 96v13]
God is forgiving [Psalm 130v4]
God's spirit is good [Psalm 143v10]

God has power
God has wisdom
God has justice
God IS love

circular logic perhaps.
would you please re-read that and try to point out the contradiction?
from your POV were the jews already in a disposition to believe the scriptures in a cooperative and willingly manner?

besides the jews didn't and don't look at scripture the way you do...

harms way or deliberately walking away?

do you have children?

an insecure human trait no less

funny, people feel the same...

God has power
only if you give power to this tyrannical ideal
God has wisdom
not really, the bible is full of fallacies
God has justice
God IS love
tell that to elizabeth fritzl...
all that torture was worth it, for her...right?

My statement about faith was directed at Thief's answer that faith needs no proof. That being said, why would you call it faith when you have evidence?

1) the earth is evidence of the earth, not how it got here.

2)What does people not getting rid of the bible have to do with it's validity? Truth is not determined by how many people believe something, or how strongly they believe it.

3)Once again, how many people believe something is not evidence of it's validity, at one point almost evryone believed the earth was flat.

I agree.
The Earth is concrete evidence that the Earth is here.

Now all you need to do is tie that fact in with the topic...

2] Bible is evidence because, although written on fragile paper, no one has been able to get rid of it. No enemies whether from within or without.
Cool.
That makes the Koran evidence as well.
It also makes the Book of Mormon evidence.
Not to mention all the other Holy Books.

3] God's people are evidence because no one can get rid of them either

Hooray for the Mormons!
Hooray for the Muslims!
Hooray for the rest of the people who follow a god!!

Do you not find it interesting that your arguments equally apply to most other religions?

He really does. But let's go deep into this point.
Genesis 19:26 - God transforms Lot's wife in a salt statue.
Genesis 38:7 - God kills the primogenit of Judas. He didn't like his behavour.
Gen 38:10 - God kills Onan. This poor man didn't want to have children and that enraged the Almighty.
Exodus 32:27 - God kills THREE THOUSAND people because they were worshiping a golden calf.
Leviticus 24:10-23 - God encourages the village to kill a blasphemous by throwing him stones.
Numerus 15:32-36 - God kills a man for working on saturday. Again he encourages his followers to throw stones.
Num 16:27-32 - God kills Corá, Datán, Abiron and their families by making the earth swallow them.
Leviticus 10:2 - God burns alive the children of Arón.
Num 16:35 - God burns alive 250 people for offering incense.
Num 16:41-49 - God kills 14700 people. I didn't even understood the reason.
Num 25:4-9 - God kills 24000 prostitutes.
Num 31:1-35 - God kills 120000 men and 35000 virgins in Madián.
Samuel 12:14-18 - God kills the baby of David.
Kings 1:9-12 - God burns alive 102 people.
Kings 2:23-24 - God kills 40 children.
Kings 19:35 - God kills 185000 men when they were sleeping.
Chronicles 14:9-14 - God kills a million men in ethiopia.
Chronicles 21:18 - God curses Jorán causing illness in his intestine. Jorán dies.
Ezequiel 21:14-18 - God kills Ezequiel's wife.
Facts 5:1-10 - God kills Ananías and his wife for not giving all their money to church.

And the list goes on. I could count at least 2.270.370 people killed by God. But if you take in acount the people killed in Sodoma/Gomorra, the Diluvium and others, God might have killed over 34,000,000 people. According to this, God is the biggest genocidal ever known by humanity, surpassing Adolf Hitler by almost 28,000,000 kills.

Do you still think God isn't bad, wicked and hateful?

Another interesting datum, is that Satan only killed 10 people. Dificult to believe isn't it?

So who do you think is the real criminal? Please comment! ;)

Isn't there a difference between wicked/hateful and an 'execution' for justice sake?

So, instead of 'kill' it would be: 'execute'.

Didn't Ananias have the choice not to give all?
Wasn't the point that they deliberately lied ?

Justice will also be carried out at the time of Revelation 19 vs11,15 [Isaiah 11v4]
When the words from Jesus mouth will be as a sharp executioner's sword executing the wicked.- Psalm 92v7

So how do childern fall into any of this reasoning? Are you going to say "because their parents were bad"?

To say that 34 million were wicked... And also to say that they deserved death and eternal pain on Hell... You are one of a kind aren't you? :sarcastic

First of all, why do you say hell is eternal, or that there is pain in hell?

According to Scripture [Rev 20vs13,14] the 'Bible hell' comes to an end.
After all in the Bible hell are 'delivered up' [resurrected], then emptied-out hell dies out of existence in: second death. Meaning no further existence anywhere.

Jesus did Not teach pain in the Bible hell.
Jesus taught: the dead are in a deep sleep like state. -John 11vs11-14
Jesus would have learned that the 'dead sleep' from such Psalms as:
Psalm 6v5; 13v3; 115v17; 146v4.
Jesus would have also learned that the dead are Not conscious in death as Ecclesiastes 9v5 says.

Jesus was not wicked but according to Acts [2vs27,31] Jesus was in hell.
That is because the biblical hell is just the common grave of mankind.

So, the wicked according to Scripture deserve: Destruction. [2 Thess 1v9]
A 'second death' means destruction [annihilation] no resurrection for them anywhere in heaven or on earth during Jesus 1000-year reign over earth.
-Psalm 92v7. Perpetual sleep and Not wake up. -Jeremiah 51vs39,57

First of all, sometimes in Scripture it is talking about 'adult children'.

Obviously the minor children in Noah's day were not adult children.
1st Corinthians [7v14] is clear that parents are responsible for minor children.

Genesis [18 vs23-32] Abraham questions God that he would not destroy the wicked with the righteous. Since we can not read hearts but God can he knows when the situation is beyond reform or beyond repenting.

You ask, "Who made God?" Nobody because if God was made, then that who made Him would be greater ...and by definition, no one is greater than God. :)

Exactly because according to Psalm [90v2] God is Not made.
God is un-created, otherwise God [YHWH] would not be singular: 'Creator'.

:) I always like this part. Everything comes from something... Except god... why? Meh. Read the bible. Troll. Silly. Trapped in own delusion smile.

Everything comes from something except god means what? You do not understand everything? God is not a thing or part of everything?

The argument that god created everything and therefore always was and never needed creation seems logically empty but my desire to argue or laugh is usually driven to do neither.
