Why are people afraid of their beliefs being questioned ?

Thank you,

How hungry are you for God; how deep do you dare to probe, where your limits of God is in what you perceive who He is.

I read an article a while back from a man I respect as and believe anointed of God in many way. This man spoke of a dream he had where he was sitting at a table full of spiritual food, across the table was Jesus. They just sat there eating all this food which was right in front of them. As they sat there the man sup with Jesus, he noticed Billy Graham come to the table get a plate full of spiritual food, and he left. This happened over and over as he noticed many well known deep men of God eat from this table and then leave.

He then asks Jesus why they leaved after so little when there was so much to eat.

Jesus replied to Him, they were satisfied.

I had an experience happen to me where for a time I feasted and feasted on some deep anointed literature; let me tell you something; I am satisfied; sure I want more.

'Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if ANY MAN hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to HIM and sup with HIM and he with ME.' The church of the last days is the church of the INDIVIDUAL. It is the individual believer with a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP to Christ.

For the man who will forsake ALL ELSE and sup with Christ this is an age of glory, an hour of preparation such as we have never known. This is a time when the Spirit of God is speaking TO YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL. He seeks to sup and dine and feast with you apart from all the religious confusion about us. It is a glorious day when we see the promise that is ours in this hour"

The religious Mind:

Then we have the religious mind, which is far closer to carnal them spiritual; this mind is not open unless you agree with their preconceived idealism, being it Catholic, Pentecostal, JW, Baptist this mind has the mind of what ever agenda listed above or one of the twenty thousand sisters of Babylon. They say they are following Christ (which means anointing) but in reality all they know is their preconceived bias.

God’s Word is like a river that flows:

Ezekiel 47: 4Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

5Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

How deep is your river; up to your ankles or knees; or is it so deep and mighty all you can do is float as if flows and gets deep and wider continually.

I cannot and will not fit God’s Word in a man made box; it is like a river that flows and gets deeper and deeper; in fact so deep at times you cannot no longer stand; that is where faith comes in.

Jeremiah 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Religion is for hard walls that hold no water, the made of the hardest material on earth. man's religious bias.

You have spoken of much to do with religion, but all I could see in your words was desperation, religion is just a concept that we throw in the air and see what comes from that. for me personally nothing comes from that , its just a lot of useless thinking. I don't mean to insult you but that is what i see in what you have shared.

This verse is speaking about you.

But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

No verse is for me, I am above all verses, you are using this verse as a weapon, I don't have a belief in your weapon, its not for me.

Isn't it nice to have a holy book that allows for the double-think of neighbor-love and neighbor-vitriol?

There is a difference from being afraid of sharing and debating with others, compared “You must not give holy things to dogs, nor must you throw your pearls before pigs—or they may trample them underfoot and turn and attack you.”you.
Matthew 7:6
J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)
6 “You must not give holy things to dogs, nor must you throw your pearls before pigs—or they may trample them underfoot and turn and attack you.”

There is a difference in pearls before swine and some religious trying to cram their beliefs down others throats.

But I could also say that, i could say don't argue with a dog that cannot give an answer, or at least something that makes sense.

Yep so true, I know I haven't got all the answers, but its very rare to hear a Christian or other religious people say that they don't either.

Well then I'm a rose amongst the thorns. A diamond in the ruff.:)

I personally do not associate (be real friends with) anyone that claims they have all the answers . Because I do not trust them because they are either liars or delusional.

You are a very rare case, but you are right, don't trust them.

Well then if I'm rare I'm glue .

I have many Christian friends who never claim to have all the answers. They search for answers.

Also some of the most know it all people I have met are non religious(non believers) .Pompous, arrogant people.

All walks of life can be untrustworthy .

You concept of God is negative at the least.

Millions of religious men who spent their whole lives seeking truth in their own way cannot make sense of the deep things of God; so it makes no sense for me to even attempt to make sense with someone who really does not care about God of the Bible. I posted a couple post on this thread and they made no sense to you. A spiritual man would make total sense of what I posted.

You never make sense of the truth of God's Word on your terms. God's just to above us to lower His Word to such foolishness.

I have meet many Christians that don't claim they know it all also, but they usually say when Jesus returns we will then know all the answers, a very nice little excuse i must say.

How do you know that I don't realize the truth behind the story of Jesus, and what he really was saying, I have been a Christian for many years, so I do not lack knowledge of the scripture, you are only assuming as if you have something that i haven't, but in fact it could be the other way around.;)

I think we will know when we are dead.

Paul even thought Jesus would return in his lifetime. That was what? 2,000 years ago?
